I goddamn love Grunt.  People need to stop comparing him to Wrex.  They're two totally different characters.

Wrex is "superior" to Grunt?

We have dismissed that claim.

I also like that Grunt is one of the few charactes who'll solidly agree with Shepard no matter what he does with the Collector Base at the end.  Krogan's got my back.

The greatness of Wrex and Grunt has made me treat all in-game krogan well.  Even on renegade playthroughs, I can't bring myself to tell the asari to dump her poet.

when I bring him to battle, he says 'worthless' every time. it's funny. yeah, 'I am Krogan' stuff. he is awesome alien. last time when I finished fifth game, all aliens were survived. all human were dead (excepting Jack). so now there are only three human in Normandy (Shepard, Joker, Jack).

anyway, I already anticipate ME 3.

does he say this on the suicide mission?
I've only had thane and jack give me updates so far

Yeah he'll do it if he's like one of the only people left in your squad if you leave him and someone else to hold the door. I was actually working at getting some crew killed on my 7th playthrough and when I heard it I loaded the autosave just to hear it again sooooo awesome.

I get the feeling Grunt generally doesn't even know where he's at and the other times has no idea who/what he's fighting.

Which is fine, and funny.

I was doing a runthrough where I tried to kill everyone off.  I got the above report from Grunt and I laughed my arse off, but figured on him being done for.

Not so fast.

A disloyal Grunt without a claymore
held
the
line
by
himself.

Everyone else died and it was just Grunt, Joker, and EDI left on the Normandy at the end.
I still got to see the 'bad' ending, but that tough little bastard survived despite my best efforts to kill him.

He just may have a quint.

You can have your opinion about which is the better character as this is a subjective judgement, but objectively, the fact that Grunt has a charge (which one-hits husks on insanity btw) makes him the better squaddie in combat.

I AM KROGAN!

great line.

Grunt is cool. Wrex is cooler, but I suspect Grunt will be the krogan in ME3 (assuming he survived).

Wrex is overrated, Grunt is where it's at.

My favorite Grunt line is when he's talking about the painting of the krogans killing the turian. Shepard says something like "I don't see how that's funny." and Grunt goes: "It's not supposed to be funny! It's a turian and he's being torn apart for what he did!" I found it hilarious for some reason.

Yeah I now have a new found respect for Grunt as I'm taking him everywhere this playthrough. The only way to really get a feel of any character is to have them on your squad throughout the game. This is easier for PC users too since you can get the characters earlier to unlock their hidden dialogue.

How is the PC game any different?

Well for one, it's being played on a PC which lends a certain amount of smugness knowing we arent on a kids gaming console.   Then of course their is the satisfaction we get knowing there will soon be many epic user created modifications available such as a prositution mod or full nudity mod.

Other than that it's about the same, just better.  Image IPB

Make no mistake, I  like Grunt but if given the choice between Wrex and Grunt in ME3 I'm picking Wrex, no question or second thought about it.

Screw that.  I'd have both in the party at the same time.  Be a ****ing wrecking crew.

I still like Wrex's from ME1 when you are on the elevator during Liara's Recruitment mission calling Joker for pick up

Joker: "ETA about 8 Minutes"

Wrex: "If I Die in here I'll Kill him!"

Wrex and Grunt in the same party - that would just be unfair. The Reapers would take one look at that squad and say, 'hell with this we'll just go back to darkspace for a few millenia'

Tough call, I like Wrex as he has more 'gravitas'. Grunt's a tad too psychopatchic for my taste but he's still great

Little trip down memory lane :)

Like others, I was very skeptical about Grunt when his character trailer was released.

Since then he's turned into one of my favorite characters. His childlike enthusiasm and the way he treats Shepard as a father figure is hilarious.

"Don't you get it? It's a Turian... and he's dead! Isn't that great?!"
