I don't think they got rid of it, it sounded to me like they made it where actual cutscenes were activated, rather than random.  But the banter is still there.

That is correct. There is still banter as there was in Origins, in addition to the conversations triggered by in-game objects.

Good to know- I was getting ready to Internet rage  if the random banter was gone!:o

phew.. thats a relief. I really liked banters and it almost took 1/4 of the game time just to listen them in awakening.

Now its good to see we have more.

It will be good to see some Velanna-Anders mage to mage banter :)

It was really fun answering questions and showing off the game. Hope you guys liked it. To clarify one point, companion banter is definitely still in. The companion interaction spots are more a replacement for launching into full conversations in the middle of a level. Companions will still do this on occasion, but a lot of their color doesn't take away gameplay control. Myself, I happily hit the companion interaction spots any time I see them. I like learning more about my buds travelling with me. :)

Any word yet on a link for the recording, or when we can expect one? I'd like to mention it in a podcast and provide a link in the show notes.

You guys mentioned that the Warden's plot actions have reprecussions in Awakening. What will the Origins plot choices be for the Orlesian Warden, who was not around during the Blight. (For example, who will the Dwarven king be, and will the Circle/Dalish/Anvil of the Void survive? Will we be able to choose?)

This is what I heard as well.  There was some random banter between Oghren and Sigrun going on when they first entered the level, and another banter scene (I think it was actually just Sigrun speaking to the PC) upon examining the location.  So I'm pretty sure random banter is still a go.

yeah, think so too. and sure as hell hope so.

edit: me slow. me relieved.

Intrested to know if they won't be any problems with mods crossing over, guessing since it using same engine, won't be a problem, but since the question wasn't asked, be nice to know? :)

It looks awesome. Did anyone hear how long the game is?

I believe that question has been answered, even if not in the broadcast. Some mods might not work, but they can't say for sure that all mods will/will not work.

I remember reading 15 (20 for completionists).

David, Ferret or any of our Devs here. I am posting this on behalf of my fellow XBOX 360 and (I think) PS3 players.

Are we going to get the dex bug fixed for DA:O?

I know it's the wrong forum, I truly apologize but there is no response in the 360 tech. forum and I was really hoping to give them some news here. Please respond if you can.

Once again I apologize for posting in the wrong section.

Grimgor.

That question has already been answered in the FAQ.

Grimgor.

They said that it will use the newest Origins patch... so no, unless they release a new patch (or the previous patch fixed it. I'm not fully sure what it changed, besides adding trophies. The top of the patch description page said that many of the changes came with the console version, and only apply for the PC version).

Was it just me or  most the questions that were asked could have been answered on the web page? I amaze no one asked about what happens if your Warden became the prince or princess consort?

I'm sure it was asked dozens of times, it just wasn't answered.

I'm glad 2 of my questions (dapodcast) got answered, but yeah, I did wonder why they were answering questions that had already been answered. I was hoping for more new information. I think they need a better way to handle picking the questions...I did a word count of the chatlog from 19:22 to 19:52 (with timestamps to be fair) and came up with 58,791 words. That's a pretty good sized novel's worth of scrolling text in about a half an hour.

Their answer implied that Anora/Alistair will comment on it during their cameo (or it might even be the cause of their cameo), so it will be taken into account. (I think)

I was the guy in the red shirt that chatted for most of it. David Sims was busy driving and fighting, making chatting trickier. :)

Well Ferret, you guys did a great job for a live stream.  I can only imagine how nervous I'd have been in your shoes.
