Here is mine
1.Tali
-i like this girl, but how many times does she need rescusing?
2. Ashley (AKA Faux Action Girl)
-Whether you like Ashley or like (I don't so I may be biased), you have to admit that she is not a badass at all. Just look at Eden Prime, Virmire, and Horizon.
Which female character do you think is the biggest damsel in distress? (both ME1 and ME2)

Liara. She was stuck all alone in a bubble inside a volcano surrounded by Geth on an abandoned planet in a deserted star cluster on the edge of the galaxy. Doesnt get much more in trouble...

FemShep. She got herself killed, for crying out loud! Lucky that big handsome TIM came along to rescue her.

Well that's more due to Liara.

Jack. She is an emotional wreck and needs someone to see her a person not a weapon.

Tali. Exile, geth, assassins on the Citadel, etc.

Tali technically needs recuing more often but Liara feels weaker because she needs to lie down after every mission.

Both Tali and Ashley are fighting on their own, when you come to help. It's more like vital assistance than a typical damsel-in-distress rescue.
And Jack doesn't even want your help.
Liara in the force field bubble is still the most stereotypical damsel in distress.

Tali, easily.

Tali and Liara. I agree, the fact that Liara needs to lie down after every mission was quite offsetting... for the lack of a better word...

Kelly, Gabby, and Chakwas. They get kidnapped, you go rescue them. Can't get more straightforward than that.

Liara in ME1 (only because of what happened in ME1). Her eternal headache after almost every mission loled me.
Ash, Tali, Jack... all of them are fighting their own way to survive once you arrive to "rescue" them. It's not like they were waiting for you or something.

Shepard rescues everybody equally, take Garrus you rescue him from a dead end job in ME1 and a life he hates, in ME2 you rescue him from Mercs and than later you might rescue him from himself.
As Beechwell stated the only really classic rescue is Liara because she couldn't get out of the situation with her own ingenuity.

Tali. She seems to keep getting into trouble that you have to bail her out of. That might be why she's so popular as an LI, guys love the damsels.
Emotionally, I'd say Jack. She can take anyone physically, but let's face it, her whole romance and character plots are based on the idea of 'fixing' her. As much as I like the girl, she's definitely the one that needs the most saving.

Last time I checked Tali was inside the observatory during the entire Haestrom mission.

Tali is the only damsel in distress.
Every time Shepard meets her, her ass needs saving. Then there's the mess with the trial.
I guess her neediness and helplessness is part of her appeal to her... fans?

Kelly Chambers.
Unlike Tali or Liara she never actually kicks anyone's ass, she just gets taken by the Collectors and if she is lucky, gets rescued by Shepard.
Out of the squadmates, definitely Tali. Every encounter with Tali involves rescuing her in one way or the other. Liara may have been helpless when you encounter her in ME1, but she doesn't need rescuing in ME2. In fact in between ME1 and ME2 she even rescues Shepard from the Shadow Broker and the Collectors/Harbinger. So in terms of being a bigger damsel-in-distress: Tali > Liara.

I'd say Liara, even though theres the whole "Redemption Liara" where she goes around ruthlessly killing everyone she still just has a damsel in distress personality to me.

Tali is definitely in distress a lot, but "damsel" may not fit her too well... I suppose literally, she is a "damsel" as in a young woman of high birth, but I feel there is a definite connotation of the old traditional submissiveness and helplessness that was associated with/expected of women, particularly "damsel"-type women of noble birth. In that sense, I do agree that Liara is the most "damsel in distress"-like of the characters, as when you find her, she is in distress and is completely helpless, and she does not have the strongest personality of the female characters (I am, of course, referring solely to ME1 in this assertion). Even she, of course, is not particularly weak or defenseless, but I do think the description fits her best of anyone.

Tali in ME2. Like her, but how the hell did she get herself into all those bad situations.
Liara in ME1, bubble and fainting.
