Damn! i just realized how influenced ME2 is by Aliens (1986) Think about it. The welding torches used to get through a locked door, the pods the crew gets stuck in,  the general sense of Xenophobia, (bishop) there is a ton of references to this classic! Guess the devs were serious when they said in one of the trailers that this game was heavily influenced by "other sources". There are more examples, I'm sure.

Well, Aliens was one of the best movie sci-fi sequels of all time.

thank you..captain obvious.

I'd post more references but it'd probably blow your mind..and I just couldn't bring myself to sleep anymore if I caused you to have an aneurysm.

Aliens seems to have that effect on a lot of great science fiction epics these days. However, Cameron did return the favor by BLATANTLY copying Mass Effect with blue aliens just like the ASARI!!!!! Can't think of his own ideas because he's so old....

Aliens wasn't an original piece of entertainment and neither was The Terminator, both were heavily influenced by "other sources".

Blue, Green and Grey are general stereotypical colors used as alien skin color. Check out some of the older sci-fi animes, their are aliens out there with blue skin. Or how about we look at Star Wars, which came LONG before either Avatar or ME came out, the one Twi'lek dancer in Jabba's fortress is blue... So yeah... ME didn't come up with blue aliens first.

Also if I am remembering correctly he had been working on this movie for over 10 years. Could very well be coincidence.

You are quickly emerging as the local jerkass. I'm sure your mom is proud.

All art is derivative.

Even the hot blue alien chicks.

Almost everything has been done before in some fashion - the trick lies in putting your own spin on it so it seems unique. Exotically-skinned spaces babes go a long way back.

Also, you forgot to mention that Bishop voices Admiral Hackett.

Key difference is Bioware haven't made a game I didn't want to play.
