Well, there's the fact that Morrigan's storyline, while fitting in extremely well with the game, is basically one giant homage to her Farscape/Stargate characters. Her romance/love lines especially.

Try going to the lake near the mage circle tower. By the spoiled princess is a fence you can't get past where two mages are behind. They have an amusing conversation. ;)

At the post-coronation the very last thing Sten says is something like, "Where is the cake? I was told there would be cake. The cake is a lie"

I was travelling from Denerim to the Civil War site, when a random encounter popped up. It was about a boy in a meteor who crashed into the ground and found by a farmer and his wife. This homage to Superman was extremely amusing, and surprising for Dragon Age.

Anyone else found other easter eggs?

those aren't easter eggs, the star metal that you pick can be made into a weapon by the smith in Wardens keep. After you completed wardens keep that is..

May I suggest watching the Superman movies and/or reading the comics?

Axameter!

The legendary axe in the stump haha.

Seemed like it could have come straight out of the Quest for the Holy Grail.

I had Dog do some fetching in Lothering and he came back with A Very Chewed and Moist Book. It starts out:

"Day 42: I begin to suspect that we are being manipulated, as if by some unseen hand far above us. Always, I hear the sound of clicking. Click-click. Click-click."

It continues with a cheese reference and a couple ones I'm not sure of.

In one conversation that Leliana and Sten have, Leliana says that she was singing about "a highwayman and the tavern girl who loved him", which is likely a nod to the poem "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes.

When stayin at the brothel in Denerim, one of the general female pre-sex one liners goes along the lines of: "Want to take a look at me ditties?"...in the EXACT same way and tone as the default response for prostitutes in the Baldurs Gate series.

I got a kick out of Arl Foreshadow (formerly Lord Foreshadow in Baldur's Gate). The info in the codex pickpocketed from him was nifty, too. ;)

In the first room at Warden't Keep there is a note with soldiers' names on it. One of the names was Jason sans les Argonauts. I thought that was clever ;)

Not really an easter egg, but all of Haven really had a Lovecraft vibe, imo. In fact, I giggled when I saw the giant fish-pillar-torch things by the dock >_>

The chanters in Lothering's Chantry remind me of the chanters in Candlekeep in Baldur's Gate. They even take turns chanting. 'so sayeth the wise Alaundo...'

If you walk up to the two dwarves standing on the "stage" in the Orzammar tavern, you can hear a very drunken karaoke rendition of the background music.

I found a ring called the "one ring" can remember what it did but is clearly a major reference to the one ring from the lord of the rings

The two sisters outside the Denerim chantry. That was smart, intelligent if goofily expressed satire. Unexpected socio-political commentary *and* the most delightful easter egg.

During "A Paragon of Her Kind" I found a note named "Load Limit Reached" which is basically BioWare making fun of the long elevator rides in Mass Effect. It's about a dwarf named Shepard who kills his companion because he won't stop talking in the lift.

Hehe, I loved that one:
__________________________________

"Mass will have an effect," he says.
As long as it lifts us out, I figure.
Should have specified "within my lifetime."

"Gives us time to talk", he says.

"How's a dwarf get named Shepard?"

Up yer shaft.

"No really, because blah, blah, blah."

Axe answers, but I still hear him.

Drip... ground.
Drip... ground.
Worse than his talking.
Think I'll drop out for some air.

Excerpt: Dwarven Verse in One Volume
Selection: Load Limit Reached
Anonymous scratching recovered from a cage hoist... eventually.

Don't forget, that Shepard also jumps off of the lift (presumably to his death giving the long load time... I mean ride) after totally losing it when there's nothing but the same repeating elevator music.
