 Heya.

Recently, my SATA ports on my MB have been acting up. Not finding my DVD drive when starting up. Even though that is a seperate matter, the backlash is that I cannot play ME2 due to the retarded CD check system. I will try to not sound like a whiner, but what is the general idea of it? Buy the game digitally and you won't have to use a CD, but I do. I pay the same money as downloading customers, why do they have benefits I do not?

I tried searching for a resolution here, but the only thread that seemed to head the right way was locked by an admin who did not respond to the problem discussed, just with a "don't talk about cracks". I'm not going to risk my key with a crack, but I do want to be able to play my game..

So:

Is there a patch coming in a not to distant future removing this CD check?
If not, can I activate my key on Steam or anything to get around the problem?

If none of the above, what am I supposed to do? Buy a new MB to play?

Best regards

If you buy it digitally you must have an internet connection to play it. You don't need to have an internet connection to play the game.

You can use your key to activate your game on EA to get the digital version, with the previously mentioned online activation.

Although the two of you may think that the second sentence made good sence in general, it needs to have an extra word or two (OK, four) added like this:

"You don't need to have an internet connection to play the game on the DVD media."
