Alright, so:
I have had Mass Effect before.
I bought it in Britain about a year ago.
It worked fine, i played through ME multiple times, and loved it ^__^
Then, a few months ago, i desired to play it again.
BUT!
It didn't work.
The Menu (Play, Uninstall, Support etc.) opened, but when i clicked 'Play'
the splash screen opened, like always.
But then it stuck there.
It was responding and all, but nothing happened.
I re-installed it a few times, and lowered the settings and such.
Nothing worked.
I thought that the problem was in the CD.
So, this Monday, i got Mass Effect again, i also bought ME2.
I installed it and such, but it got stuck on the splash screen also.
After re-installing and such a few times, i gave up, and installed Mass Effect 2.
Installed it, opened the menu, and when i clicked 'Play' the menu closed.
But nothing happened.
I checked my task manager, and it said that Mass Effect 2 is not responding.
I re-installed and such, but nothing worked.
TL;DR:
Mass Effect: (first one)
Freezes at splash screen. Altho it is not 'not responding'
Mass Effect 2:
Doesn't respond after i click 'Play'

So, can you help me.
Or do i have to admit that i have now wasted.. 70 euros on games that don't even work?
