I read on wikipedia that Shale's personal quest automatically activates if you bring her with you to fight Branka in the last segment of Orzammar's army recruitment quest ("A Paragon of her Kind").
Well, of course, I read this fact AFTER finishing that quest...meaning I didn't bring Shale with me at that point, and I'm already finished with the quest. I wanted to know, does that mean I screwed up? Do I have no chance of getting Shale's personal quest now?
Wait...did I screw up?

Try going back to The Anvil of the Void and taking a look at the list of list of names with Shale in your party.

Just talk to Shale at camp until she questions you about Caridin. You're fine.

No. Just talk to Shale, and she'll mention you fought Caradin, and that will activate it as well.

In fact, if you intend to side with Branka, then it's best not to bring Shale.
