Hello everyone.

For the past few days, i've been reading the forums and the name Kasumi has been popping up alot.. like when will she be released and if she'll be a love interest.

I'm not concerned about any of that.. my only question is, who is she?  I've never seen her in the game so i'm assuming it'll be a totally new character (like zaeed who just pops up at the entrance of Omega).

Why is everyone so excited about her?

she's a thief you hear about in news announcements on ilium and the citadel.

Is there proof there is actually GOING to be another character, or is this all just another set-up for disappointment? If so, are we POSITIVE it's going to be Kasumi? Why has there been NOTHING on this from Bioware? Is this going to be part of the DLC in March? Anyone have actual facts on this, and not just speculation, guessing, and hope? Sure, there's a classified crew on the main-page of ME2, but that's about all we've really seen. Right? I won't believe it till we see it.

She's been mentioned on the Cerberus Network news. She is mentioned in audio files on Ilium. PC users can hack the game and gain access to her placeholder during the suicide mission and actually assign her to specific parts. There is also recorded dialogue for her during the suicide mission.

Any solid news on when she'll be available? Maybe it'll give me a reason to play a fem-shep again, since Liara was such a huge disappointment! *crosses her fingers*

BioWare comfermed her form the time the Comercial came up on the NFC final when the comercal air. Due that game they hosted an internet radion forum/quetioner were they comfermed her and they will tell us about her on a later date.

One other possibility is that Kasumi may be part of a Liara/Shadow Broker DLC later this year.
