I spend hours trying to make the perfect Shepard and they look decent until they're in the game.  They look very different from the face creation page.  So anyone here made good looking Shepards?  I know there's a site for this but just curious if anyone here had any success.

I have this Shepard that looks exactly like Mark Vanderloo. If you wanted, I could give you the codes.

I like mine.

He looks like a human being, without being either overly idolized or ugly as sin. All my characters are variations of the same Shep, with varying hairstyles, eyes and colours.

Personally, I love some of mine even thought I doubt anyone else would. Others look good in the creation stage, but I pick them apart once I start playing.

Just keep looking at other peoples, and ask for the face codes if you like any. Otherwise it's just a case of trial and error, and sitting through that nice, lengthy, unskippable intro scene over and over. And over. ;)

Try to emphasize, or even exaggerate, features that often are defined as "beautiful" i.e. defined cheek-bones, a strong jaw-line, and a straight nose. But...the face editor is weak compared to Dragon Age's.

The default Shep looks the best. In the thread where ppl show case their Sheps, 95% look really ugly.

Really wish they'd included a better character creator this time...

Wouldn't make sense to have one in ME3 either, how many times can someone have their face reconstructed.

Heh. My original Shep looks like ass anyway.

Then again, that's probably because I modelled him after myself. *sigh*

I made my Shepard to look sorta like a soldier, aka not a charm boy the default Shepard is, but a though bastard who's face shows he has been through some though fighting. ( In my Shepard's case Torfan )

Making Sheps is pretty damn tough if you ask me, the face-maker needs an upgrade methinks... this is my favorite one I've made so far, largely because she looks pretty normal, as opposed to over-the-top attractive...

Male Sheps are a pain in the butt to make look good. I totally got lucky with Draconis. My favorite part about him is when he smiles, he doesn't have RAEPface like the default does. My femShep is, I think, awesome, but only because she looks like me. Save for the nose. Though, to be honest, seeing that different nose on my face makes me wonder if a nose job is in my future. Cause damn howdy, do I look good with it! Heh!

If you spend enough time with the creator, you can make some very attractive characters. If that's what you're looking for, anyway. I credit my hours playing Sims 2 to my ability to create in any game virtually any face I want, regardless of the creator's limitations. I've found the right pair of eyes make all the difference, same with the mouth. You can get some pretty spot-on replicas with that thing if you try.

Mondo: she's beautiful.

I usually go with default. I'm a default kind of guy, see. I mean, I'm playing *the* default Shepard, even though that was completely unintentional.

My first playthrough of ME1 I made a custom one, and he actually turned out very good, aside from looking about a decade too old.

Shepherds will usually be ugly unless you spend a good deal of time working on them.

It does not help that the finished product looks different then how you see it in the character creation screen.
I'm satisfied with my shotgun toting, vanguard charging, grandpa Shep.

get off his lawn or he'll MAKE you get off.

have you looked at the shepard screenshot thread or the face database? Lots of nice looking ones in those.

At least he hasn't had a baseball bat taken to his face. By the way, you are aware that once you create a character in ME2 they automatically start out with scars right? They can disappear as you go along.

Your Shepard looks like a bulemic.  So freakin' skinny.
Hehe.. I was gonna say "Holocaust Survivor" but I wasn't sure how that'd be taken.

Hm.  I said it anyway, didn't I?  Oho, touche.

Generally, I won't start the game unless I am able to create what I think is an attractive looking Shepard. Same for DA:O. I think my characters are quite good looking. d:

For every good male Shepard I've seen, I've seen about one million good looking Dragon Age men. Face creation for ME dudes is a mess.

This is true. The DA:O creator can make some really angelic looking girls.
