Me and my friends were sitting around just talking about what surprises ME3 might have in store for us and we came up with this:

What if in ME3 the story comes full circle with Shepard on the run as a rogue spectre with a newly assigned spectre tracking him/her down? What if an exiled Reaper comes to your aid and that becomes the new ship. Jeez...You'd be just like Saren. In the Mass Effect universe every unknown has always shown itself to be far more complex than previously thought. The Rachni, even the Geth proved themselves to be more than just "evil" and both have the possibility of becoming your ally.

Either way, Shepard running around the galaxy with Geth and Rachni followers aboard a Reaper dreadnought...It's just nuts to me. Anderson would not want to believe it and you'd be branded as an enemy of humanity and the council. And how do you know you're not being indoctrinated? How do you know you're really doing what's best? Saren thought he was doing the right thing too I'm sure. What a difficult position that would be for Shepard, to have to resort to trusting a Reaper.

Would you be able to even do that? I don't think I could.

So i'm replaying ME1 and i ran across the planet with the "leviathan of Dis" on it. I think the batarians might be the main bad guy. Their government, or sections of the government, has been studying that thing for a long time and if it was a reaper they may have become indoctrinated. Perhaps there is a splinter group in hegemony who tries to help the reapers, i mean they already hate all the council races. Just throwing it out there
