Huh, how appropriate. I just reinstalled them all this morning. Rerolled with BGT and the BG 1 NPC pack. Can't wait to start roaming the sword coast again with my kensai.

I quite liked the Valen party member mod.

All the squadmates are stereotypical cookie cutter clones. The vixen, the soldier, the mystic, the professor, the bad girl, the shy girl, the assassin. Even legion follows the stereotypical "unknown badguy turns friend" role. The only unique character in the whole damn experience is Joker.

I don't really remember either. I think it was later, like after the whole underdark thing. Might be wrong.

I'm trying to think who Anomen would match up as in the ME games, and the only person I can think of who is as condescending and arrogent would be either Udina, and the Turian councellor.   Or maybe that arse of a volus accusing Lia'Vael (the quarian) of pickpocketing.

I don't really remember either. I think it was later, like after the whole underdark thing. Might be wrong.

After the Underdark, you go back to confront and kill Bohdi, and when you enter the graveyard, she kills your LI.

Bodhi turns your LI into a Vampire when you went to kill her (after the underdark chapter). You have to resurrect her/him.

That's a hard battle too, u get piled by vampires and u need magic to save you. They drain your levels. Bad.

Their characters aren't connected all that much, but I found it interesting that both Jaheira and Tali had the exact same reaction to finding a loved one dead: going immediately into denial and trying to figure out what the trick is that would make her loved one not dead anymore.

If only there had been Paragon interrupts back in the day. Although I think Jaheira probably would have slugged you one if you tried to give her a sympathetic hug.

Believe me, the dragons in BG2 SOA, are bare EASY! in BG2 TOB, they are HARD!

As a guy who has beat both games many times, I can agree with this. The differences I will point out though

-Jaheira and Miranda both work for secret organizations, but the Harpers is more of a "benefit everyone" organization whereas Cerberus advances "human interests" at the expense of all other species. If I can use traditional D&D alignments, Jaheria is true neutral and I'd say Miranda is lawful neutral.

-Viconia and Jack are both the "evil" love interest that can eventually be turned good or at least "neutral." However, Jack fights the good feelings she has becauseshe thinks they make her weak, whereas I thought Viconia is trying to be good and finding it difficult because she was born and raised to be evil.

-I'd say Aerie and Tali are both "lawful good," but I don't think Tali is naive and immature like Aerie, especially after her pilgrimage. That comes with their backgrounds though: Tali would have gained a lot of tech and social skills from the Flotilla, whereas Aerie would have had very few being a slave most of her life

That was the battle where Drizzt and his buddies fight alongside you, right? I think that was one of the more epic moments of the game. Would love to relive something like that in Mass Effect-quality graphics.
