I've looked everyone on the forums for help but couldn't find anything that could help with this.

I redeemed the code for the blood dragon armor that i got from the DA:O game on PC. It's the steam version and i WAS able to redeem the code but when in the "Your registered game promotions" page, it doesn't even give me the option of downloading the content. It says Blood Dragon Armor under the Title column on the registered game promotions page and says that it's for PC, but it doesn't give me the option to download it under the download column.

Can someone help or tell me what's wrong? Thanks.

You download it from within the game.

I have tried that but in the downloadable content it only says the warden's keep and the stone prisoner. I also have the stone prisoner redeemed but it doesn't allow me to download it in-game either.

Dragon Age does not provide direct download links on the entitlement page. DLC is supposed to download automatically when you log into your account from within the game.

If that is not happening try starting the Dragon Age Origins Content Update service before you start the game.

1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER

2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.

3.) Right click it and select START

If you continue to have issues see the PC Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ

The Content Update service is supposed to start upon game launch, but sometimes it doesn't get started fast enough, and the game tries to talk to the server before its there.

There is a beta fix available that helps with this. But I've found it seems to depend on server response, and even with the fix, if the server is slow, it doesn't get started in time.

When I try to start the daupdater, I get an error message saying "Could not start the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service on Local Computer. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified." And I tried the beta fix but it didn't help me with my problem. Do you have any other ideas?

Help would be very appreciated.

Have you changed where Dragon Age is installed? Sometimes even a reinstall doesn't update where Windows is looking for the service.

See Section 5 of the Dragon Age PC DLC In-Game Errors FAQ for info on how to fix the service location.

I was finally able to get the DAupdater working. But now I get an error when I try to launch the game. It says "Dragon Age: Origins failed to start: error code 53". Does anyone know what this means?
