NOTE: I am posting this message with the understanding that the reader knows how to do the easy X+A Infinite Squad Points Glitch.

 Tutorial:

1. Perform the X+A Glitch on the desired power you wish to remove the starting Squad Point in. (ie: The one Squad Point Jacob has in Incendiary Ammo)

2. Now instead of selecting an Ability Evolution hit the B button.

3. This will have then wiped the power's meter and returned the Squad Point into the total count.

4. Now you can max out any power on any squadmate in any combination.

X+A Glitch:

When evolving a power to the Fourth Level instead of hitting X hitthe buttons X+A together this should remove all used Squad Points and grant you with the evolution.

Nice find :-) Hope it doesn't get 'fixed' in a patch without the pre-set points getting removed as well.

I like it. I use the X+A glitch myself for teammates but it always bothered me when I see tons of leftover squad points. This should be pretty useful since I rarely ever use more than 1 ability for certain teammate anyways.

Not exactly new, but it isn't bumped so it's worth saying again.

It's a pretty awesome glitch for newgame+ when you are crippled in the early game. Lets you make MAXIMUM use of all your skills when your weapons are so lackluster.

I did a search for this "X+A" glitch and nothing came up. What exactly is it and how does it work?

This is strictly for the xbox version only.  At the squad screen where you allocate points into skills, when you are at the 4th rank, instead of pressing A to move onto the evolution screen, you press X and A together.  This in turn gives you the evolution options and gives back your points spent.

Thanks. Sounds similar to the Forza 2 glitch. I am on Xbox, so this will be useful. I could definitely use the point from Neural Shock for Cryo Blast on Mordin, specifically.

We're not planning at this time on fixing these glitches. They were not intended, but it is a single player game, so if you want to use them go ahead.

However - there is no guarantee your Shepard will import correctly to ME3 if you use any glitch.

I'll mention as well since fixing this glitch was discussed.

If we did fix it we'd reset the talent points of Shepard or any squad member who was modified using the glitch. We wouldn't break your Shepard, or ban you, or change your name to "Lameo Shepard" etc.

(but we probably won't fix it)

If anything could we get a squad member talent reset option just like Shep's?  Without having to use gibbed's save editor of course.

Wait I don't get it. If Jacob has 1 point in barrier. I select it and press X+A? Do I need to have 2 points available? I guess i'll have to try this. I am a little confused.

I believe you have to have enough points to activate the Power Evolution window for this to work. From what I understand, this works because the extra window comes up. Without that window, you can't get this to work.

ME2 for the xbox needs these fixes:

Squad ammo patch (squad mates with ammo powers always seem to overwrite your ammo powers)
Shield patch (shields on squadmates are broken, Damage Protection upgrade only upgrades shepherd and Mordin if he has a point in shields)
Bonus Weapon Reset upgrade
Squadmate Power Reset upgrade

I would say ME2 would be a perfect game if you get these done.

Good don't because I love this glitch Image IPB. I'm usually against glitches, even in a single player only game. But I like the glitch too much. It doesn't break the game at all. It's just nice to have, and if you don't like it then don't use it.

Wait, are you actually saying that you're not going to purposly fix bugs in your games?

What the hell?

It's not gamebreaking and it'd take more effort than it's worth to fix.

Thanks for letting us keep it.

Ever heard of disabling autotactics on squadmates? If you do it they won't ever use any skill unless you tell them to

Have YOU ever actually tried it? Squad power usage off means they will not use their offensive powers, unfortunately, ammo powers are NOT considered offensive powers so they will use that anyways. That bug is very annoying and easy to fix, BW should really look into it.

If you read the description of the option it says that off will still let them use ammo powers and defensive powers.  It should be like the first game in that there are 3 options:  use all powers, use defensive powers only, and don't user powers without player input.

Selfowned :pinched::pinched:

Used to ME1 options + Not using squad ammo powers = fail :(

My fault

Apparently, we're supposed to use glitches for that these days.

This is just somewhat mindboggling, to hear a developer openly stating that there are bugs that they simply won't fix, instead of fixing the issue and introducing a legit way to do the same thing (since people obviously want it).
