Does anybody know? Is it whichever one was higher in the imported character, or is it that you saved the council, etc.?
How is the Paragon/Renegade bonus for importing an ME1 character determined?

The individual decisions are imported as such. The paragon/renegade score is imported separately, but I think there's no sound explanation about the actual math behind this. Either it's just which score is higher (I'd put my money on this), or which score is higher AND has reached a certain threshold. The latter would be like the bonus for lvl40 / 50 / 60 (thresholds).

On imported files where I had made both Paragon and Renegade choices I received a bonus to both, Well over 100 points each, so I believe the transfer ratio is ~1:1. There's also a max cap to transfer, IIRC it's 190.

the highest you can get is 190 par and 190 ren i believe for me1 bonus points
