Yeah, it's best to restart mission when you've just started one - to get all bonuses form gear and squadmates. Stupid but fail-safe :)

Why duration penalty on Insanity would affect the damage done by Warp ?


Warp does direct damage, Reave damage over time. Unstable Warp 160 damage, Area Reave 40 damage for 4 seconds. Both powers do 160 damage, but Reave suffers Insanity penalty (160)*0.8 = 128 damage. (Only duration powers get this penalty, everything doing instant damage is not affected)

I've tested Area Reave on SM - Samara's Area Reave (she doesn't have passive increasing duration/power damage) doesn't work @ level 30 - it does @ level 29. I don't think defenses are increase by a huge percentage per level, so a 5% Power Damage increase could be enough, 15% is more than enough.

I reckon Kronner or M14567 mentioned this in a NG+ Upgrades topic at the Claymore Fanclub.

Thanks for the tip  I wasn't aware that restarting the mission right at the beginning would fix this.

With some missions it's better to save first; otherwise you have to wait for the intro to finish again.

Did this once on Tali's LM, had to get through her damn trail again before Shep could go Geth Hunting :)

Damn. I tested it last night.
With 5% extra you're fine. It's one the chest pieces, I think (omg my memory...)  I dont' have the ugly helmet.

I've just started a new Sentinel. The instant squad recharge for Tech Armor helps setting up repeated Warp bombs. Jacob and Miranda are an even more formidable team than usual with a Sentinel leading them.



As I progress through the game, I intend to take at least one Combat Drone squadmate along. The instant squad recharge could finally make those drones practical.

Well, Tech Armor completely breaks loyal Miranda. She can start and finish her own Warp bombs, provided your timing on Tech Armor is precise (I'm on the xbox, which makes this a less than smooth process).



And Tali might have finally earned my respect from a gameplay perspective. With the Sentinel's support, she can keep her drone going strong.

On normal you could probably beat most of the game with just Assault armor and nothing else!
