I play Assault Sentinel. I sometimes feel pity for my enemies when they taste my Evi.
p.s. Blood Dragon Armor with Tech Armor looks COOL

I have an alternate configuration of Garrus (Squad AP ammo) and Mordin if the mission calls for alot of Tech based powers. (Incinerate is just... awesome).

I thought it was bugged on your teammates.Darnalak wrote...
From what I've heard, the Incisor is great for your party members because they don't have to deal with recoil, but not so good for Shepard because he/she DOES have to deal with it. (again, I don't have it either, but all the posts I've read kind of lead to that conclusion)
Also, I'm working on a guide/blog/thing for sentinels. I'm a little more than half way done and going to get around to finishing the second half tomorrow most likely.
http://social.biowar...8732/blog/3083/
I'll be sure to talk about that on my guide. I had trouble there too. The best suggestions I can make is to go pick up your upgrades first and get someone in your party who knows squad ammo asap.I finally died a few times on Jack's recruit mission. That darn YMIR kept crushing me.

When you mean the first room you are just talking about that cafateria when you FIRST have to fight?
What is tough about it? You start with a huge room, plenty of space, and rows of cover right in front of you?

Played Vanguard - Veteran, was not impressed
Played Adept - Hardcore, mega-fun
Playing Sentinel - Insanity, gonna be tank-a-licous
I tried Soldier & Infiltrator on insanity and had an extremely difficult time on freedom's progress, so they didn't make the cut for my play style. I played the Engineer through that mission as was thoroughly impressed. Then I played Mordins recruitment with the Engineer at level 4 and it was awesome, I totally dominated. Then, I figured I'd give then Sentinel a try. On, Freedom's progress it was ok, not as good as the Engineer but way better than the other two. Then I played Sentinel level 4 through Mordins recruit. And wow. I was a tank with no fear and all over the battle field and often up front to hold the line, way up front. Sure cover is sometimes necessary, sometimes, but I found myself running into the battle! Not standing back and defending. I'm not afraid of Krogans anymore! Miranda yells "look out - krogan charging!" I laugh "let em!" Tech Armor esplodes! Then they fall, then I melee them, then they dies. Then I pop Tech Armor and bring the pain all ova again. This class is gonna be a powerhouse mid to late game on insanity mode. Tempest SMG. Shotguns. Squad Ap or Reave or Inferno Grenade or xyz-whuteva-Shields. My N7 suit is orange with a yellow glow. I look like a pumpkin 'cept I be doin the carving and serves them up the pie!

You're saying you were up in their faces as a level 4 Sentinel on Insanity? My Sentinel is level 5 and I have to spend most of the time in cover to avoid getting a new hole in my bottom. Yeah sure, I can peak my head out of cover longer than I would be able to do as my Engineer, but I am hardly a tank yet. Granted I haven't stacked points in Tech Armor but rather upgraded it to Rank 2 while getting a rank 2 overload and cryo.

Ok Kids, I finished my replay through of Dragon Age for the upcoming expansion, so I'll be back to making some more Sentinel Movie's I'll finish up the Horizon run's this week, then get into the fun missions where most of your powers are fleshed out. (BTW if you're sick of seeing me with SMG in hand... well, then yer gunna hate my videos, I love that weapon).

Yup. That's what I'm saying. Level 4. The first encounter is with those blue sun mercs behind the raised platform barricade. I positioned Jacob and Mirand down their field of fire. Then flanked left and was under the barricade poping their shields. Then when the shields are down, pull with Jacob and warp with miranda. Then I moved across and positioned myself around corner. It's not like I dont take cover, dont ge me wrong, I just don't worry about getting ... into ... cover. Essentially, movement on the battlefield is not an issue. The only time I worry about cover is when they get me in a cross fire.
The next encounter is with the two mercs fighting the vorcha(?) Again position miranda and jacob, wait and take out those dog-like things that attack, then move up, way up front. I positioned myself behind that column in the center with the two flame-thrower vorcha on either side. Pop out and in to cover to strip their armor, they strip my armor but they get an splosion . Pop back in to cover shield up run back wait for health regen run up front again. I think I must have confused the AI cause I was all over the battle field. I never crossed over the line. Just stand behind the column and run out stripping their armors. Watch for two Krograns and warp, warp, armor down, pull, pistols blaze em down they were they easiest.
Did Zaeed's mission at L5. Too easy but the last room is super fun. Did Garrus at L6, that was the easy. I finally found a use for Jacob as a Sentinel. He's going to get squad incendiary ammo and 1 pt in pull for my warp detonate.

Sounds like he stacked up the assault armor in a hurryI wish I would've done that on my Movie Sentinel, it would've made for better videos on Horizon, I didn't, because I'd played through so many times that I forgot you couldn't respec until after horizon ><

L4 - Mordins Recruit
Throw 2
Warp -
Tech 2
Overload 1
Cryo -
Defender 1
AP Ammo 1
L5 - Zaeed's Revenge
Throw 2
Warp -
Tech 2
Overload 2
Cryo -
Defender 1
AP Ammo 1
L6 - Archangel
Throw 2
Warp 1 <- jacob + sentinel combo is starting to shine
Tech 2
Overload 2
Cryo 1
Defender 1
AP Ammo 1 <- jacob needs 2 more points to get squad incendiary and i can get rid of this for inferno grenade
The rest of points now go into Tech-4/Defender-3 in that order. Got 2 more points from L7 but I'm saving em for L8 for 3 in Tech. So the plan for horizen is Tech-3, Overload-3 and ... Jacob - pull 1, ammo 4 & zaeed concussion 1, grenade 3. I hate Horizen. But I'm hoping with lots of incendiary to go through their armor quickly.

You'll see in my videos that jacob actually makes a good addition to the squad early on. (I replace him with jack after he gets her bonus ammo) You never really notice their Contribution until you see it in a Movie. when he pulled a Collector to the Window he was hiding behind, then blew him back through the window with his incendiary Shotgun, I almost spilled my drink.
Yeah. Originally I thought Jacob was a pansy. But I'm starting to think he's going to be one of my buddies with my Sentinel. He does mad damage with his shotgun. Jack is also good for her pull + squad warp and she's got shotguns also. The only reason I think Jacob may be slightly better is because of his barrier, he can go to the front lines with me and take a beating while dishing out the shotgun pain.

Hmm. I'll have to think about this one. I plan on using tempest SMG so I thought shotguns would be a nice o-**** addition if I get rushed on my flank. But as you say AR might not be bad either and I'm suffereing with range dmg on the Sentinel. But I'm still liking the Sentinel.

Yep, I think both Jacob and Jack can work interchangeably with a Sentinel. Squad Incendiary Ammo is just as usable as Squad Warp Ammo ( I just prefer warp ammo from a Roleplay perspective), and Jack actually puts her silly shockwaves to good use, she actually does a fair job of knocking Reds out into the open with it. Barrier does help Jacob, my issue with it is I don't want him using it when I need him Pulling. It has a loooooooong cooldown, and when I want a pull, I want it now! (and since it's "defensive" you can't stop him from using it whenever he wants).

My problem when I play is that I try to take routes that are... morechallenging. In the room where you fight all the Vorcha and Krogan before you meet up with Mordin, I would go on the lower levels rather than the upper deck. I also played aggressively and tried to get close, but not too close when their numbers are overwhelming. My biggest issue is making the transition from my Engineer, where I played really aggressive (surprised?) to the Sentinel, which is more conservative until you get Guardian and Assault Armor. Now that I am level 6 after completing Garrus, Mordin and Zaeed's mission, things are starting to be a little easier. I still miss my faithful Drone and Incinerate, hense why I bring Mordin with me everywhere.
