Forget it. Most of the RPG fans weren't satisfied with the character interaction, but you refuse to acknowledge that. Since you refuse to acknowledge what I quoted from DL, I from now on refuse to acknowledge you.spacehamsterZH wrote...
No, because the combat to interaction ratio in ME1 was about the same and I liked that game too. I'm, uh, sorry?
I'm a rpg fan and I was fine with it. Claiming that you and the other 10 guys that complain here are "most" of the RPG fans is just crossing into delusion territory.
By the way, in the subject of dialogue, this is a good thread.
hmmmm, guess we have different opinions of a good "DISCUSSION"
That thread is "thow who shall not be named" with a opening post and everyone saying good job after it. Kinda light on any discussion if you ask me!
See my signature for a great DISCUSSION on interaction, dialogue, story boards, and everything ME3 needs.
Funny how you ask people to not troll in your thread and try to tell people to be civilised, but everytime someone has a different opinion from you, disagrees with you, or outright proves you wrong, you start trolling or you ignore them entirely(when they prove you wrong).
You are one of the worst and most arrogant hypocrites on the boards.

Right. Trolling. Of course. Because when people say they're perfectly fine with the limited character interaction or the huge emphasis on combat above story, or when one even goes out of their way to IGNORE those facts, it's certainly not grounds for frustration when we're outnumbered and have a game series with so much potential butchered because of people like you. NO, I'm not saying you had anything to do with voicing your opinion for a massive overhaul, I'm saying people that are LIKE you.

Ah yes, so now instead of blaming bioware for the way ME2 is, you start to "blame people like us". Then again, ever heard the term one mans meat is another mans poison? Heres the thing, a flaw to you in ME2 may not be a flaw to another person and vice versa.SkullandBonesmember wrote...

Obviously, you are another individual constantly labelling other players and have this deluded point of view that you are the center of the universe, but don't worry, kalfear's douchebaggery eclipses yours.
Then again, ME2 is butchered for YOU, not the majority of people who bought and played it(which then again consisted of many people who DO enjoy RPG's and the first game, such as myself).

"Instead"? It's just as much Bioware's fault as it is EA's, and just as much the shooter fans. They all share responsibility one way or another. And it's butchered for most story driven fans.

Ah yes more consipracy theories, do you have any physical evidence that EA was responsible for this? Let me answer for you: no, you don't.SkullandBonesmember wrote...

And shooter fans? You DO know that the vast majority of shooter fans would rather play shooters like Call of duty or Battlefield rather Mass effect 2? You DO know that many of the people that enjoy ME2 ARE rpg fans? Just that some are dissappointedm some are not? Let me answer for you: no you don't, because you are a deluded individual.
Then again, the games butchered for you, not me, not for the vast majority of people who enjoyed the game. Deal with it seriously. I know there are many people who dislike the game and thats perfectly fine, regardless of what bioware do, they can never please everyone, usually stuck up fans like yourself.

Nice 3 personal insults. Like I've pointed out, there are plenty shooter fans that think they're entitled to any and all games with a gun. What does it tell you that most fans who played ME1 and what they enjoyed about it the most was the characters and plot think they got screwed on ME2.

Ah yes, the majority. Of course you know exactly what the majority thinks. You have asked them all for their opinion after all. Good thing BioWare have you, market research would be so much more difficult without your precise knowledge of what the majority thinks.

There are also plenty of fans such as yourself that think they're entitled to any and all games that are an RPG and therefore superior to other inferior gamers such as shooter fans. The sword cuts both ways my friend.SkullandBonesmember wrote...

Then again, its your opinion that the characters got screwed, considering i at least saw that the characters were ALOT better in the second game and weren't living encyclopedia's.
And believe me, i am far from a "true shooter fan" considering i actually preffered DAO's character interaction to both ME games.
And since when shooter games are bad?(to you maybe) You DO know that the call of duty
and battlefield games have MUCH better weapon customization that both ME games?

Let me add this. The ME2 supporters and ME1 supporters are clearly divided mostly between what their priorities are. Priority for story and characters make up a good percentage of the ME1 supporters whereas priority on limited character interaction that doesn't "drag" or interfere with combat, the most IMPORTANT part of any and all video games, make up a good percentage of ME2 supporters.

I voted story and characters and ME2. But to let you know, good story alone isn't enough if the gameplay sucks.SkullandBonesmember wrote...

Neither of that is any prove whatsoever as to what the actual majority thinks. Want to try again? Since you feel so strongly about this game that you spend so much time defending it on these forums all day long, maybe you should pay a real pollster to create some truly representative numbers.

I love it when obsessive liara fans such as yourself start getting into denial. So whats your point then? That the majority thinks ME2 sucks? And yes, these polls DO give us an idea of what THE majority thinks, but something tells me if these polls and votes went into ME1's favour, you would use them for your own argument.
And really? Defending it all day long? Like how i constantly critisized ME2's terrible romance and nonsensical ammo system which even you replied to means i defend it "all day long"? Hurray for logic!
Seeing that theres even more websites out there that shows peoples praise, and i merely listed two websites, its suffice to say the majority isn't as dissapointed as YOU want it to be. Seriously, get over yourself.

I don't really like how you're trying to make divisions between ME2 fans and ME1 fans. It doesn't really further the discussion at all, and audience who played the two games is not that different.

So yeah, when you talk about your disappointment with it, you've got to start from the premise that yours is a minority view.
