I think you're confusing the Kodiak (the shuttle) with the Hammerhead.
The Hammerhead indeed use a VI for guidance, but the shuttle has a cockpit and a pilot.

Which reminds me... is it just me or are the APCs really tiny considering Mako can carry you, Ashley and Wrex in heavy armors and one NPC. M29 Grizzly is even worse. It's flat as a pancake!

On the whole matter of the shuttle: What gets me is how it's linked to a certain recruitment mission that is already incredibly late in the game and how arguably one of the most interesting companions will fly under everyone's radar. Especially if you go for the happy ending.

While the outcome certainly added tension I can't help but feel an oppurtunity was missed here. I thought from early trailers this character was going to have a much bigger focus.

That character really isn't tied into the plot much anyway (IE no use in practical application, not an argument that they are useless). Makes no sense in the grand scheme of the game. (I assume you are talking about Thane)

Do You people even understand that listing plot holes is totally wasting time, because they can't fix plot holes in ME1 or ME2. Only what we can ask here is making better plot in ME3 without so many holes.

I see two definition for plot holes used here.

1. It's plot hole when something happen what can't be happen.
- Example Kaiden would die in ME1 and be back alive in ME2.

2. Plot hole is missing story, something what makes players asking question, why wasn't they telling the hole story, what happen here. This means it's missing part of story.

In ME2 there is alot more missing part of stories than ME1 did have. How ever, there isn't really plot holes as not possible to happen as unbelievable. In ME1 there was not much missing parts of story, more like something what put players think, why was this done at all this way.

So, in my opinion most the arguments here is because people think the plot holes little different ways. In the end we all just want good story in ME3 and without plot holes of course.

How about we just rename thread to ME1 vs. ME2?!

I'm pretty sure he was. Aside from him being in the very first teaser, I recall at least a couple of comments from the devs a while back that seemed to suggest that he was going to pop up a few times as if he was stalking you throughout the missions, and then disappear again without a trace, and that it would all come to fruition when you finally met him. Seems like they ditched all the prior stuff and just cut to the chase and had you meet him. A shame because I liked the sound of the whole "mysterious stalker" angle that is non-existent.

Plot holes can't be fixed or avoided entirely, but they can be patched up at a later date.

Listing plot holes is wasting time because nothing is accomplished. The writers gain nothing from someone pointing them out.

Explaining how plot holes can be covered up or how they aren't plot holes is worth something, because it gives a chance for the writers to include the idea in the next game.

Sorry, You are right. I ques I should have sayed, they don't "ususally" fix plot holes in old games.

Only what we really can say, is that there where too many missing story parts and what causes us to feel like there is hole in plot. So, we hope that ME3 is done with great story without so many plot hole. Where player feel like what happen, something is missing, did I miss something, why I'm doing this?

It does sound interesting.
Though the link between his presence on the Reaper and his loyalty mission wouldn't be there if he was following Shepard-Commander.
It probably got shafted with the recruit almost everyone right from the start. At least as the hidden/secret dialogue seems to suggest.

It's going to happen as the story gets larger and larger.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 would be a lot easier to write if they were separate universes (but at least you'd get that "fresh" feeling from ME2).

I would be amazed if Mass Effect 3 managed to cover every bit of detail that didn't feel right in the last two games - but I'd rather just see a good, solid conclusion to the trilogy.

Plot hole: pirates surviving indefinitely on a planet with class 1 pressure hazard while your team can survive 30-45 seconds outside the Mako.

Level 1 hazard was always suviable indefinetly if one team member was using a devlon armor that protects against it.

No plothole. The pirats just used armor with enviroment protection.

So they all just happened to wear it but none of them drop one when killed?

Yes. Stupid loot system is stupid.

??
Devlon armor was not very hard to loot,no matter what level you have.

Doesn't mean that all Geth technology is better. And the only thing I can think of that's more advanced are the thermal clips. Going by ME1 the Geth Weapons are actually pretty crappy.

Why that?? They teared through shields like kaidan said(jenkins). And dont compare the lootable geth pulse rifle with the one the geth prime use.

Random loot is stupid. Though I understand it's a lot easier to implement and balance than what-you-see-is-what-you-get loot system like in Oblivion.

.

The humans were new in the blue suns group as it was described in the first book. And now two humans founded them.Makes no sense.

My insanity adept game has been somewhat of a challenge for few reasons.

1. I chose sniper rifle bonus talent and have 0 points in pistol at the moment.
2. Damn the squadmates suck in everything except using powers. Do I really have to babysit them all the time? As a Vanguard it was easy since they were mostly there for tech/biotic support.
3. Many of the UNC missions are pretty hard compared to the main quest. A mine full of husks? A shipful of biotics?

Nope, I played ME1 max as hardcore. Usually I play in Veteran difficulty. I don't  usually try to hardest difficulty option setting, because it's not needed for me. I'm not trying to beat the game, I'm trying to optimize the fun. When I use difficulty setting, I'm usually looking good compromise between too easy to kill and takes too long to kill. Basicly trying to get the feeling and fun right. If difficulty is too easy, game become not challenging at all, just playing for the story. If difficulty is too hard, game become pain in ass, because every battle takes so long to get done.

I was satisfied with their shooting. But i tend to give them different ammo so i could see who made the kill shot.Tali and Wrex were really good with shotguns.Garrus was good with sniper rifles and assault rifles. No problem there.
Its different in the second game where if feel that i have to do most of the shooting myself and my squadmates barely hit anything.

I just don't understand why they included squad commands if they didn't even work. Not even a little. Okay, maybe rally and hold (sometimes) worked. Trying to tell them to stand somewhere though? Forget it. I had to walk away from the game a few times during Pinnacle Station (the very last sim) and stretch because all I wanted them to do was move to cover, not turn around and face the wall while we got shot at.

The first walkthrough with me as vanguard and Liara + Garrus as support was good. Now that I have to rely on Ashley and Tali (does she even realize that shotguns are not sniper rifles?) for combat support it's been a lot harder. I'm not saying that ME2 had super smart squadmates but damn Ashley you are the worst soldier ever.

Though it might be just that the AI is especially bad on the side missions.

Pinnacle station was bugged. The other example was ferros were always one teammate go beserk.Otherwise they moove and stay at the actual place you advice them. Not in the second game where for example grunt refuse to moove or stay in cover without even shooting, only pointing the gun at the wall.

Also in the Husk mine and inside most compounds, too. I've had cases where I specifically ordered Ash or Kaiden (for example) to take cover on the side of the door and watched them back up against the far wall.

I know we're past this already but I found it funny that a russian lunar proble launched in 1974 contained state of the art (for year 2183!) weapon mods.
