I don't think he is gay, it's just the way he talks that certain people think he's gay.

Seriously though, I liked this pair, but I would have preferred if some of the light armors looked better. They all sort of looked like the same blob of brown and grey.

The main thing is that Cam Clarke has to come back as the voice of Herren! And preferably as all the other characters he did, though it wouldn't surprise me if "Guard on the Left When You're Trying to Talk Your Way into Fort Drakon to Rescue the PC" isn't a recurring role.

I can't help but think Herren and Wade aren't a couple. With all that Herren struggles to put up with Wade as a business partner, if he had to put up with him as a romantic partner as well, I think Wade would have died of some "innocuous" food poisoning a long time ago.



Wade, himself, didn't strike me as gay (but then again, what's gaydar but the ability to apply stereotypes). He struck me as obsessed with his craft and in possession of a severe social anxiety problem.

All the characters we bring back in Awakening have the same voice actors. So it's the same Herren and Wade. They're fun to write.

I think characters like Wade and Herren set this game above and apart from from the competition. I mean, if I wanted a dark fantasy epic that wasn't afraid to stick to tired NPC formulas I might actually finish Oblivion. If I was wearing a hat, I'd doff it and say "Thank you Bioware for not being afraid to break out of the box, try new ideas and make games marketable to our alternative lifestyle friends." Now, what I'm wondering is where all of the Asian swordsmiths that know karate and can't make "R" sounds are.

I was very happy to see Wade and Herren back in the game. And the tooltip descriptions were great for the dragonscale items. Now if only Sandal could make it to Amaranthine...

Hee hee, you're welcome. I was writing Herren and Wade's part in Awakening before Origins launched because heck - if nothing else - I liked them. It was very nice to see other folks did, too.

I love Wade and Herren.  DA:O was dark enough for me....I loved the comic releif. I cried too many times in DA:O to want more grim grim grim.
