I have pretty much defeated everyone there, yet my journal tells me i still require some armor and such of cailan item. I check my items and i do see i have everyone of them.
Is this some sort of bug?

Just to double check, you've got Maric's Sword, Cailan's Shield, Cailan's Gauntlets, Cailan's Breastplate, Cailan's Greaves AND Cailan's Helmet?

Ah, found i am missing Maric's Sword (where do i get that?) but i do have everything else. The journal does state i am missing 3 more items though.

Ah. I don't remember the exact position, but the sword is in a chest, the one you actually came to Ostagar to find the key for. Perhaps someone can be more geographically specific but it shouldn't be hard to find. In that chest are the other 3 items you need, a series of Cailan's personal documents that make for some fun reading.
