...that Morrigan releases into the castle if you choose not to participate in her ritual? I swear I see it next to Sten post Coronation, but I can't figure out if it's a familiar that Morrigan puts there to watch over the PC, or one to spy on them.  I don't think it's her, since she conjures the dog and it runs off.  If she shapeshifted, she would disappear.

Anyone have any theories as to what it is/represents?

Ummm, that IS Morrigan. She shapeshifts into a wolf and runs off if you don't accept the ritual.

It's been discussed several times. To clarify, the dog is Morrigan shapeshifted, not a dog she released. And no one knows if the dog at the coronation is her or not. It could easily just be a random dog.

I don't think it's Morrigan. She shapeshifts into a wolf, not a dog, since she seem to have a very low opinion of domestic animals and doesn't seem to have much interest in studying their "souls". A wolf in the middle of a crowded castle in the middle of a city would be a pretty bad way of staying incognito.



So I think it's just someone's dog. This is ferelden, after all.They sure love their dogs.

Yeah, not to mention that if she was your friend/lover then she would be afraid of you discovering her and trying to follow her. And if she didn't care for you, why would she stay? No, I don't think she was there.

The eyes are the wrong colour for Morrigan. You'd think they'd be a gold sort of shade for her. I suspect it's just some random mutt trying to either (A) get lucky with the Mabari nearby, or ( begging for appertifs that are on the table nearby.



Hmm maybe that dog ate Sten's cake.
