I hope the lack of response answers the question for you. No one has a clue and BW don't care.
I'm pretty much just curious. I wasn't really expecting anyone not from Bioware to have any idea, but I thought I'd ask.

Can you guys give us an update? Even if it is "we're discussing it"? Its nice to have an official Bioware rep tell us that something is still going on.

I really REALLY hope that they prove us wrong and put out a real patch. There are numerous glitches, errors, bugs, what have you that they could easily fix. The Dex bug, the Orzamaar quest bugs, etc.

Can't see it happening I'm afraid. Everyone has been asking the same question since release in November '09. And we have had ZERO, ZIP, NO, NADA, response.

That's not entirely correct. Victor has, on a few occasions, given the generic "we've got a list of things and we're looking at what/if we're going to fix" answer. But no date or timeframe has been given.
The PS3 Return to Ostagar release announcement indicated an intent to release some sort of update around the time of Awakening's release. Whether that will just be the PS3 version of the patch we've all got or something more remains to be seen.

Did the dexterity bug get fixed yet for the xbox 360? I ask only because when I add stats to dex it seems to raise the attack on your character page..however people are still talking about it not being fixed.
Are you using a bow? That seems to be the biggest issue with the dex bug. As far as I know, it hasn't been patched.

I've been waiting 3 months for the dexterity patch, it's why I stopped playing after I beat the game.. poor support from bioware, I won't even bother buying the expansion.

Victor is a moderator for this social site, he is not a developer. Moderators can say anything, if a developer from BW or a PR from BW said this then I would take this as an official response. Otherwise, its just a moderator making a general statement which could mean anything and be incorrect. Victor has made mistaken statements in regards to updates on a number of occassions, so I do not take anything he says seriously.

2.7 – Have fixes (like balance, bugs, etc) from Dragon Age: Origins been included in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening? (Back to top)
Awakening will come with the latest executable patch / title update for Dragon Age: Origins.
So it's reasonable to assume there will be some sort of patch that comes out the same time as Awakenings.

That's encouraging, but I would still like a dev to come on here and say, "Oh, BTW, a title update for the 360 is coming at the same time as Awakening. It will include these fixes: ..."
I know they won't list all fixes planned for fear that programming/testing won't pass them all for the scheduled update. All we want is a "We're going to fix the Dex bug and some bugged quests.". That's it. It can't be that hard to commit to SOMETHING.
They have to know with a statement like that, they'll regain 50% of the 360 fan base who have dropped off. Personally, I'll buy RtO right now if they make this statement.

I'm a PS3 user and we are supposed to be getting some sort of game update / patch this Thursday.
The announcements post indicated that a list of items included in that patch would be coming once they had the final list.
Haven't seen that list yet, and one would think that with it being 2 days away they should have a pretty good idea what might be on it.
Bit more communication overall would be welcomed.

Yeah, sounds extremely fishy.
It also doesn't make sense that the PS3 announcement was made with nothing for the 360. Wouldn't it have to be one of these 3:
"Hey, the PS3 update is March 4th and we'll be releasing it at the same time on 360."
"Hey, the PS3 update is March 4th, we're working on the 360 patch."
"Hey, the PS3 update is March 4th. There are no plans for a 360 patch at this time."
Nope. Silence.

Thats what they said about the RTO update. Instead we got crappy achievment fixes. When I read that in the Awakening faq I just assumed that they meant the PC patch. So I'm not holding my breath.

We have just launched the newest patch for the PC version of Dragon Age: Origins. You can read the patch notes and download the patch on the patch page HERE
Work is continuing on an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of this patch. Work is also continuing on fixing more issues for the next patch.

Hey! It's going to happen someday! xD
