So i could essentially get the "bloodbath ending" and still get the achievement?

honesty, if u do that your just making the game even harder. missions are where you get most of your upgrades and money. without those you might not make it.

I'm pretty sure it's just by beating the game. The description doesn't say anythng about keeping anyone alive.

Honestly if you just do all the recruitment and loyalty missions, it won't take you more than 25-30 hours to finish the game. All the side missions and scanning is what makes up the other 5-10 hours.

there is a achievement for not letting any one die on the sucide mission but i would not try that on insane lol

Getting the achievement only requires you to beat the game not have everyone live, however you may need to get all the upgrades to the ship in order to survive to ordeal. Logically that would make sense.
I did all achievements except level 30 on insane first play through, it
sucked, and it was tedious at time, and i would not do it agian as it wasnt nessecarilly all that fun.
