That's weird...I've got a core i7 920 overclocked to 3.8 GHz through the BIOS and all appears well here. There must be something else at work too. I noticed most people overclocking w/ the issue were doing it through software...does that have something to do with it?

I think its something that changes procesot speed during the game (different load in animations = different cpu speed). When I play I fix cpu walues in default mode (Asus EPU High performance).

Just a little follow up about the problem... I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with 4gb ram (it's enough). Anyway... The problem was the program that came with my motherboard. Epu-6 (It's a energy moderator or something). Doesn't work well with 7 (I had sync problems with the 2 games I played in 7 (Mirror's Edge and Dragon Age Origins). And since I closed it, the sync is back! Yippi!

And let this be a lesson to all of us to remember that things we might not even be aware of can cause strange and unpleasant complications to our game (and they're not even the fault of the game itself).
