I've heard that people say this is suicide, I intend to prove them wrong..........
But i need help,
I got past everything, besides the reaper larva,
I'm about to get all the achievements, its right in front of me, but i keep dying!

Any tips on how to beat it?

I used The cain and the sniper rifle on my vanguard and killed him before harbinger and his boys (you can hear him at the very end of the vid) even showed up. You can do it just as well without the cain (sub the carnifex for the sniper rifle), but it'll take a while longer and you'll have to fend off harbinger 3 or 4 times.

Yeah, what's your weapon loadout (Heavy Weapon and do you have AR/Sniper Rifle/Shotgun) and who is in your squad?

I accidentally picked zaeed, but i have mordin for the harbingers, and i have the cain, evicerator, and the geth assault rifle which is weaker than my tempest at the moment.

First if you need help on the 2 platforms uhh pretty much the same as the collector ship get in their face and keep charging. Also if you have reave as a bonus talent you can set up a warp detonation with samara+thane.

Use sniper + cain if you have them

The fight is really boring, long and repetitive. Take your time no need to rush it.

I recommend using samara and thane for their reave/warp on armor

Also if you are inclined to use bonus powers reave will also help

Use the smg if out of pistol ammo/sniper. With Inferno ammo it does alright vs armor.

If you don't want to start the mission over, which I don't think you have to, just get behind cover and go for the weak points with the heavy pistol. Mordin should also be using the heavy pistol and have Zaeed use his sniper rifle. Have them go for the eyes and whenever Harbinger appears, make a quick dash to pick up the special ammo drop he has (he drops heavy and regular ammo during the fight with the larva). Cain when you can and you should be good. The toughest part of this fight to me was trying to aim at that SOB since he moves so awkwardly.

Also, Mordin's Incinerate and Zaeed's Inferno Grenade will do damage to the boss since it's all armor. Use it every time it's up... I mean hell, they're free! If you did want to start over, I would suggest Thane/Samara and the Vindicator since those Squadmates have Warp and Reave which do damage to Barrier and Armor. Samara with the Vindicator and Thane with a Sniper Rifle. Should be good.

Edit:  I said Miranda in one sentence when I meant Samara

All the advice here is sound, might be able to offer more advice if you could say what kills you.

The GPR is pretty weak against armour so you're probably best off attacking the larvae with the pistol as much as you can. If you've got the cain, use it. Harbinger will drop special ammo cases that work like heavy weapon cases, which mean they also give you tons of regular ammo, so don't be afraid to empty the pistol's entire ammo reserves as fast as you can. When the pistol runs out start emptying smg clips into his face on full-auto until you get more ammo.

Another thing to consider is that the larvae's own attack isn't all that dangerous, it will not instakill you from full shields, so it's only really a threat when there's enemies around. Otherwise just keep firing and don't worry so much about being caught in the blast (though ducking into cover at the last second is obviously preferable).

The collectors kill me, the reaper's attack is easy for me to avoid, when i hear the robotic blast noise, i go back into cover, but then the harbinger always walks up to me, he takes out my shields and i charge him when im just about to die and i kill him, but collectors blast me after harbinger dies. thats basically how i die everytime

Kill the collectors first, then move on to harbinger. I ALWAYS kill harbinger last.

Watch Average Gatsby's live play on his Adepting through Insanity page.  The final boss' monster SDF-1 reflex cannon (harr harr) actually kills enemy Collector Drones and severely weakens Guardians/Assasins/Harbinger.

Pay attention to harbringer spawns and focus on him when hes up then go back on to the reaper. Rinse and repeat.

Stephenc13, I couldn't tell who you were responding to, so I'll repeat, never kill harbinger first, that just gives him opportunity to take over a different collector. Kill the collector's first, harbinger last.

Oh, that would probably be smart, but by the time i kill off the collectors, the reaper pops up somewhere else, and more collectors fly in from nowhere

Do you have enough cain ammo to fire it twice? I've noticed that if you fire it twice it seems to stop collector/harbinger spawn for a while. In the vid I posted they didn't actually spawn until I already had the collector at less then 1/4 health.

Yes, in my experience it seems that at key health thresholds the reaper larvae will destroy platforms when he shows up instead of spitting plasma or spawning collectors. So if you whittle his health down very quickly you seem to avoid enemies for a bit.

The first time I took down the larvae I did so without heavy weapons (wanted to make a run without using medigel or HW), later I brought the cain to see the difference and it was a quite different experience. If you're incapable of good dps against the larvae you will be stuck grinding collectors for quite some time.

TBH that fight is one of the easiest in the game after you get past the initial 2 platforms it is a joke and I don't really see how you can beat the rest of the game on insanity and have such trouble with this. Just keep trying and no amount of tip we can give you will help you learn how to play through insanity. Playing through insanity you should have learned that thane/samara are good squad for collectors and armor while garrus/miranda/tali/legion are better suited for geth missions. That GPR is less effective against armor than the vindicator and the vindicator can take out a harbringer in seconds. I find it hard to believe you went through the game on insanity when you make all these bad decisions, unless your mind set for going through your first insanity run was I am going to make all the worst choice for group comp and weapon choice and it will be a walk in the park it wont. This game deals with strategy different weapons work against different armor types so remembering that fights with harbringers require that you have to deal with barriers and armor meaning ok i got reave/warp for barriers/armor from allies and probably better to pick up a vindicator to deal with armor rather than GPR to add to the barrier solution because (if you havnt noticed) armor tends to be greater on harbringers and the last boss than barriers.
