Not the best picture of one of my male rats (well okay, it's terrible ), but I can't help but like it all the same! 

He's as blind as a bat and terribly clumsy, not to mention he has a knack for looking evil in photos, with his red eyes and such.  In reality he has a really sweet nature and is super affectionate.  I've given him to people who claim they 'dont like rats' and he (except for the 'aaaaargh rats!' sorts) always wins them over.   

He's a cutey, red-vampire-evil eyes and all!

Aww he is so cute!!!!  He has the same issue as me.  I always have red eyes in pictures too.  I guess I'm in good company. 
Also domesticated rodents have a way of winning people over I guess.  It was the same way when I made people hold my gerbils.  Except for my grandparents....

Yeah, there's some people (usually older generation) who you just can't budge about it.  I can understand though, I get that there is a certain 'creepy' factor for some people.  In my opnion though, a lot of rats have this magical thing I like to refer to as 'uglycute'.  So ugly they're cute.

Nah, pugs are uglycute. Rats are quirkycute.

*sigh*....I can't resist pet pictures. All so adorable. He's a couple of my "family".

Left: Lizzy (Pregnant alleycat I befriended in Long Beach, CA. Had to adopt her.)
Middle: Rufus (Lizzy's "runt". Toughest little girl cat I ever met, she needed a tough name.)
Right: Kahlua (Lizzy's first-born daughter.)

Yeah, I ended up with three girls. The two brothers and third sister got adopted to some of my friends. It was REALLY fun getting to raise 5 kittens. Little buggers...

Indeed. These cats are the most loyal and kind animals I've ever had, way more than my dog and cats when I was a kid. They give me hugs every day. (So I gotta keep those claws trimmed.)

Course, I did raise them from birth so I'm essentially their father. That makes a difference.

Yeah, that's true.   A cat of mine had kittens when I was younger and they were pretty much in my room, around me all the time, from birth.  As soon as they could walk they'd follow me all around the house, and would always come and sit on me in a big group!  We kept two from the litter and they were definitely the most loyal cats we ever had.  I miss them.

I'm allergic to cats, which is pretty unfortuanate, seeing how they love me so much.
