Ah, did not see your Infiltrator run, thanks for the info
Hopefully, this will convince all Revenant haters.

Vanguards are only godly at short range. Likewise, Infiltrators are godly at long range. A well-played Soldier is great at short, medium, and long range. That is the Soldier's strength.

Question is are you burst firing the Revenant? Like fire 2 to 3 shots and then stop to reset the position and then fire 2 to 3 more shots. It's fairly accurate up to mid-range this way when you have the accuracy upgrade for assault rifles which you can easily get by the time you get to the collector ship. You only hold the fire button for full auto when you are close to something or the target is big and you can't miss.buttcrackofdoom wrote...
On my third playthrough I used a Soldier on Insanity and at first got the Revenant. But it seemed so inaccurate and lame that after 2 minutes of using it I reloaded and chose the Widow. It may have just been because the first floating platform Collector fight is the hardest fight in the game and I also didn't have the accuracy upgrade for Assault Rifles. I also figured that I would get the Geth Assault Rifle later and it wouldn't matter.
Sadly I figured out that the Geth Assault Rifle sucks and I regret not taking the Revenant. So here's the question:
Should I replay the game on Insanity as a soldier again to get the Revenant or choose a different class? I already beat the game as a Vanguard and Infiltrator so that leaves the Sentinel, Adept, and Engineer.
Also another question. Is NG+ really harder than starting with a new character? I want the most challenging experience possible.

Wow! are you even going to use the Rev at all in that video? I saw you use the Viper mostly. This was a Viper speedrun with Rev as a backup gun?

Why would I use the Revenant on enemies at long range when I can use the Viper?
I've said this in numerous threads for weeks, Viper > Widow for Soldiers.
Besides, I never said I'd make a video where I didn't use the Viper.
I merely said I'd make a video where I didn't use the Widow.

How did this turn into a Widow vs. Revenant argument?
I think I'll just play as an Engineer.

Wait, we dont have a video with a timestamp of the engineer on the collectorm platform sequence, so I have no idea how to arbitrarily rate the overall value of this decision for the entire game !

Dunno, it's probably similar to the reason that Revenant fanboys are so fanatic that they'll try to start **** while attempting (and failing) to word it in a nonchallant fashion and ironically prosecuting the same reprehensible behaviors that they whine about

Rumination888 on your youtube video for the collector ship platform run was that insanity? Plus the other question I have is the warp that you used was it heavy warp or unstable warp? Thanks.

Effectiveness is just as subjective as "fun," when effective to one person may mean versatility and ammo capacity, and just as easily mean speed of enemy death to another.

If people prefer something because they find it fun, then there's nothing more to say.
If people prefer something because they think its more effective, then thats up for debate.

All my vids are on Insanity.
I don't remember which Warp version I picked, but I remember making the vid to show how large 5 meters is, so I assume its either Heavy Warp or rank 3 Warp.
