19, exact same as my Infiltrator speedrun.

Ah, did not see your Infiltrator run, thanks for the info :)
Hopefully, this will convince all Revenant haters.

My favorite part about the Revenant is not having to hassle with ammo, you can just run around and fire hose guys

decent dmg, but lack of accuracy. Need to fully upgrade it for its full potential

Vanguards are only godly at short range. Likewise, Infiltrators are godly at long range. A well-played Soldier is great at short, medium, and long range. That is the Soldier's strength.

On my third playthrough I used a Soldier on Insanity and at first got the Revenant.  But it seemed so inaccurate and lame that after 2 minutes of using it I reloaded and chose the Widow.  It may have just been because the first floating platform Collector fight is the hardest fight in the game and I also didn't have the accuracy upgrade for Assault Rifles.  I also figured that I would get the Geth Assault Rifle later and it wouldn't matter.

Sadly I figured out that the Geth Assault Rifle sucks and I regret not taking the Revenant.  So here's the question:

Should I replay the game on Insanity as a soldier again to get the Revenant or choose a different class?  I already beat the game as a Vanguard and Infiltrator so that leaves the Sentinel, Adept, and Engineer.

Also another question.  Is NG+ really harder than starting with a new character?  I want the most challenging experience possible.

Question is are you burst firing the Revenant?  Like fire 2 to 3 shots and then stop to reset the position and then fire 2 to 3 more shots.  It's fairly accurate up to mid-range this way when you have the accuracy upgrade for assault rifles which you can easily get by the time you get to the collector ship.  You only hold the fire button for full auto when you are close to something or the target is big and you can't miss.

Really, you can replay as a level 30 soldier with the revenant but it won't be so hot.  Being level 30 on insanity really needs you to have all the upgrades to have an easier time especially with the Revenant since it's range will be on the short end of mid-range.

The widow/vindicator combo on soldiers does do more damage in my opinion in taking something out faster but it lacks the versatility of a soldier using the revenant with another sniper rifle as backup.  The revenant is good for all situations and if you need to fight in long range, your sniper rifle is for that.

Wow! are you even going to use the Rev at all in that video?  I saw you use the Viper mostly.  This was a Viper speedrun with Rev as a backup gun?

Ulysseslotro is tired of all you Widow fanboys saying the Widow is superior to the Viper, and now he has absolute video proof that thew widow sucks and the Viper is the superior Race car.

Why would I use the Revenant on enemies at long range when I can use the Viper?
I've said this in numerous threads for weeks, Viper > Widow for Soldiers.
Besides, I never said I'd make a video where I didn't use the Viper.
I merely said I'd make a video where I didn't use the Widow. ;)

This is humorous, have any of you folks ever been in real combat (minus the biotics, of course)...?

Apparently switching weapons and moving from cover is ok only when it supports Ulysses's point, like when he used the Vindicator in his first Widow video, or when rumination888 scavenged for ammo in his infiltrator vid.

Rumination888 on your youtube video for the collector ship platform run was that insanity?  Plus the other question I have is the warp that you used was it heavy warp or unstable warp?  Thanks.

I enjoy how people get tribal over guns that don't really exist, in a video game that is fictional.

I'll play however :3

Why is it, that Widow fanboys are so fanatic, that they use the amount of time taken to beat the collector platform level with the Widow to apply to the entire game? That's a blatant fallacy. The entire game is no the collector ship platform stage... though you desperately seem to want it to be so, due to your amusing attachment to a gun that doesn't really exist.

Dunno, it's probably similar to the reason that Revenant fanboys are so fanatic that they'll try to start **** while attempting (and failing) to word it in a nonchallant fashion and ironically prosecuting the same reprehensible behaviors that they whine about

How did this turn into a Widow vs. Revenant argument?

I think I'll just play as an Engineer.

Wait, we dont have a video with a timestamp of the engineer on the collector platform sequence, so I have no idea how to arbitrarily rate the overall value of this decision for the entire game !

:o

If people prefer something because they find it fun, then there's nothing more to say.
If people prefer something because they think its more effective, then thats up for debate.

Anyways...

All my vids are on Insanity.
I don't remember which Warp version I picked, but I remember making the vid to show how large 5 meters is, so I assume its either Heavy Warp or rank 3 Warp.

Effectiveness is just as subjective as "fun," when effective to one person may mean versatility and ammo capacity, and just as easily mean speed of enemy death to another.
