Hi all, I think DAO is a really cool game, but I was veeeery disappointed when I realized that the cool armor set shown in one of the CGI trailers is not available in game...    

I think that the helmet in the trailer is awesome and that the helmets available in game don't even come close...

In case somebody is wondering what helmet and armor I am talking about here you have a render of the armor from the website of the modeler who made it:

Now, I don't know why this uber-cool armor and helm are not in game, but I really hope to see them in one of the future DLCs or expansions.

Otherwise, can I have my money back?
Just kidding of course, the game is still amazing... but jeez, why didn't they include that armor in the game?!? Why ?? Whyyyyyyyyyy??? 

I want it sooo badly...

I believe the "Warden" armor featured in the trailers was eventually released in the Warden's keep DLC. You can find it on Sophia Dryden's body.

It is a very good armor ingame actually. I end up using it on my lvl 20 characters.

Anyway the helmet resembles that Templar armor helm that you can potentially find in Urn of Sacred Ashes questline. Just without those things sticking out the top of it.

But as for the helmet I am not sure which one you are referring to... hummm could you please tell me something more about where I can find it? and is it just a regular Templar helmet or is it something unique?

The helmet does resemble Duty quite a bit. The only difference being Duty has a lighter texture.

Otherwise the regular Templar helmet does resemble the one in the trailers. The easiest way to find the regular Templar helmet is to kill the posessed Templar in the Mages Tower. The one where you can strike a deal with the Desire Demon to let her keep him. Otherwise you can attack the Demon and the Templar. The helmet is on the Templar's corpse

Thank you for all the information and the video. That helmet is cool indeed, but I still like the one in the trailer better.
I really hope to see it in one of the future DLCs.

Why didn't they add the Grey Warden's helmet from the game trailer? I'm hoping they will hopefully add it as a free DLC like the Bulwark of the True King Shield.

The trailer helmet's mesh is similar or even identical to the "executioner" helmet. Unfortunately, the executioner helmet looks like a crappy rustbucket thanks to godawful textures.

The armor is Warden Commander armor from Soldier's Peak, but you knew that already.

Are the game designers going to ever release the Grey Warden's helm from the trailer? The design is really nice, if they do ever add it they should put breath holes because the one in the trailer didn't have breath holes.

I actually found a helm that is similar to the helm worn by the Grey Warden in the trailer. It's called Knight-Commanders Helm, the only problem is when I equip it, my characters neck area looks black, instead of gray or white? Can this be fixed?

Yeah, I really wonder if some mod messiah comes and remakes the exact same armor, helmet and weapons from the trailer. New mesh, completely new HD textures...

EDIT: Hmm, after some googling, that guy who made the model for BLUR is apparently czech like me (Stanislav Klabik), perhaps I'll have some luck contacting him

The top back area of the Juggernaut body armor looks leather? Can this image be fixed on the armor? It doesn't really match the armor color.

....? So can anything be done about the Juggernaut's body armor? Because the top back part has a leather design, instead of a metal design.
