No. Evi is better and you can have it from the start too.

They made it pretty obsolete with the Eviscerator.

meh, i like it vs geth, 1hit kill with body shot, with a 5(?) shot clip, reloads faster too. does the evi do that? i mainly play/prefer the scim.

All Katana's power are belong to Eviscerator.

If you were role playing as a ninja, you could beat people to death with the katana.

early on i find the katana more useful against everyone but vorcha/krogan. more shields are around so i find it better, plus i only fire my shotgun when in melee range, i dont do the whole range with evi from cover thing, so it 1hits and can fire again sooner which i appreciate(the reason i like the scim). once the shield penetration upgrade is got though then evi wins hands down in the 1hit shotgun category, not even close.

Seriously, that's the only reason I don't use the Lieberschaft.
