When I put the disk in and and press the play button, nothing happens.  Had no problem yesterday with the game, now all of a sudden, it just won't load.  

Anyone have any advice?

Have the same kind of problem. Installed the game, ran it for the first time, everything went fine.

Restarted the PC, registered the game on EA site, downloaded and ran the 1.01 patch, and now the game PLAY button in the Launcher does not respond (i.e. game does not launch).



Anyone?

Advise not patching to 1.01 tbh, from the sounds of it you are experiencing the same thing I got after patching. Game works for me on version 1.0, but not with the 1.01 patch applied, game fails to launch from the play button on the launcher (and I've tried uninstalling reinstalling after clearing cache and reinstalling vcdist - which helped for some but not me). After four attempts, I'm in 1.01 avoidance mode. Looking forward to testing out 1.02 though
