Lack of inventory.
I honestly prefer the ME2 system and there being no loot, It became very tedious for me in ME1 to keep selling all that junk or converting it into omni-gel. What i dont like in ME2 is the lack of guns that we can choose from. This may sound like im contradicting myself. However, using the assault rifles as an example, we are only given 3 guns to choose from, the avenger, the vindicator and the pulse rifle (being able to obtain a 4th assault rifle later)
What i think should be done, is add a wider selection of guns to choose from so there is more variation, giving the place the feel that they are making a bigger decision.
Weapon customisation.
With the new system introduced this has obviously taken away the ability to customise your guns using cooling devices, barrel upgrades, stability upgrades etc.
What we do recive however is the research lab what lets us upgrade our weapons so they become more powerful but to personal prefrence. Example: we can increase the damage done by heavy pistols and we will all pick that upgrade because it would be unwise not to as the game gets more difficult but we do not have a choice of how we wish to upgrade our guns, we get further in the game and our weapons get more powerful, thats it.
Maybe if they kept the research lab so it upgrades our weapons as we progress (like in ME2) but also add the option of creating heat sinks, combat scanners or rail extension using the resources we scan from planets. The weapon upgrades that are create can then be attached to our wepaon but should only be useable once, so if we attach it to a gun you can not take it off and put it on another gun but you could overwrite it with a different upgrade.
Let me know what you think of this idea please.
This is just an idea of trying to improve the game and keep people happy for ME3.
