Okay so I'm doing an Insanity playthrough.
I'm actually not noticing much different from Normal except that I seem to have to rely solely on autosaves now, and it sucks. really bad. I'm not dying. Not dying.. but it's the fear that if I do, I have to rely on a ****ing checkpoint, and the combat is a lot more tedious on this difficulty level.
Playing the Korlus level btw. About to go fight Jedore and my last autosave was 20 minutes ago.
This is stupid.
Why can't I save?

Either you're doing something severely wrong or are victim to a bug. Insanity doesn't disable saving.

I wasn't claiming that Insanity disables saving, I was asking why the **** it was happening.
and if so: Nice bug. that room is really nasty, I died and my last save is about 25 minutes ago.
EDIT: Good, I goit an autosave at that door at least.
No one else has had this happen?

Yep I saved many times during my Insanity playthrough.

must be a bug of some kind. Maybe an enemy who's stuck somewhere. Either way, if you position yourself at a good position and take care of the Krogan you should be fine. At least the mech didn't get up to the platform in my last playthrough.

hmm, you should have gotten an autosave right before or after the talk with Okeer if I remember correctly. Has the PC version recently been patched?

You can not save in combat. This includes when enemies are nearby and not firing at you. Please kill everything you see and then try saving. If problems still exist, contact... [message terminates]

There can be no living enimies and your crew has to be alive(If there are no enimies they will just stand up) and you should be able to save. There are a few spots in the game you just have to play through w/o the ablity to save.

It might be a hostile NPC that was lifted or thrown into an unreachable position, it occasionally happens, but not too often. So after restarting that save, you should probably be okay.

Almost certainly what it was, because I can save now. that was just brutal.
Thanks for the replies guys (and dealing with my frustration)
