okay i have a question...say i buy a new xbox with the 250 gb hard drive...if i use the hard drive transfer kit will i loose all my saves for mass effect 1 and 2?

i'm not 100% certain, but i think you keep all your save data. it is a full content transfer, so even the import data gets transferred to your new HD.

If I remember right, someone a while ago made a thread stating that they had used that data transfer kit, and it did not transfer the "completed playthrough data," but it did transfer the saved games. And someone else posted a statement that the data transfer tend to do that and that they should have saved right at the end of ME1 (when they are last able to save, before they made the choice to save or leave the Council) so that they'd be able to load that save again, complete the game and have the "completed playthrough file" for ME2.

I just did this last month and I didn't lose anything when I transfered Hard Drives.
