Thane, without a shadow of a doubt. The only thing Zevran has on him is that he's one of the only male-male romance options I've come across in a Bioware game, so that was a nice change of pace.

no he doesnt betray you if you played the game right, also there are options to tell him to knock off the advances

Thane definitely. He doesn't turn on you. Ever since zev tried that I actually take a bit of pleasure in cutting his throat while he's knocked out.

Looks like someone didn't spam him with enough gifts. He won't betray you if he likes you.

I prefer Thane by a long shot. His philosophy is fascinating and, well, he wears tight black leather while snapping necks. I mean, seriously, ow owww. Zevran is way too promiscuous for my tastes and it looks as though he obsessively bleaches his hair (major bleck), though I don't consider him a bad character.

I lost approval with Zevran literally every time I talked to him. I wasn't mean or rude or anything, apparently the only way to gain his approval is to kiss his ass.Either way I shouldnt need his approval. I spared his ****ing life. He has no merit to betray me.

I know that now. My first playthrough I thought it was part of the story. Now I kill him for the fun of it. . I just never used him in my squad. When he betrayed me he was a bit above neutral so I figured he always does that.

Not the point, he still betrays you, which Thane does not since thane resepcts Shepard.

to be fair thane has nothing to live for and he has accepted death in the suiciide mission and zevran still has a  long life ahead of him.
