Ah yes, "females". We've dismissed that claim...

Nope, it's laziness.
I can buy this for the first ME. New IP, new game, don't know if it'll be a success.
But in ME2? Come on, we're supposed to get a feel that people are being turned into Husks. Since human colonists and soldiers aren't 100% made up of men, I just don't get that feeling.
Also I want to see Turian females damnit, it doesn't make sense to make such a huge issue out of the Asari being monogendered when you make all the others virtually monogendered too.

Well, husks are husks. They already do represent both genders, as there would be no way to tell a "male" husk apart from a "female" husk.

As for turians, as much as I'd like to see females, if it isn't in the resource budget it simply isn't in the resource budget. The turians, krogan, and quarians use an entirely different skeleton than the humanoid models do. It's not as easy as having males and females of every race like in Oblivion. We're lucky we saw the male quarians, even.

I agree. The absence of Turian females is becoming really noticable.

Yeah they lore-ed out a good excuse for why there's no Salarian females running around but the fact that Turian women are said to serve just as commonly in military and other things makes it hard to explain why we haven't run into any yet.

Lets be honest here, the main reason most of you want to see the female members of those species is because you want to see if they're hot, amirite? ;)

Work costs money and time. Time and money are, unfortunately, not infinite. It has nothing to do with "laziness."

Nope, it's laziness.

A business exists to make money.  Time is money.  There is cutting corners and cutting costs and cutting overhead in business, but laziness in business means failure.

I think the waist and general body shape would be a giveaway, Husks are not skeletal, they retain some body mass.

Again for the sake of versimilitude they should include it in the resource budget. They know ME2 will sell, they have no excuse.

Oh, and there is a female Krogan having a conversation on Tuchanka...

No, he's an emmisary for the females. He's not a female. He's young and hasn't had his rite of passage.

Turian and Krogan males are ugly enough as it is. Who wants to see a Turian with breasts and makeup?

No, because the absence of variety in gender is undermining the immersiveness.

Yes because female = breasts... in a lizard-like being.

As long as it's romanceable, I'm all for it!

Yeah I noticed that the husks were all men also, haha. Even if their flesh was stripped away it should be fairly obvious which were once male and once female

You realize Tali is a chick right?

Dunno, hard to see with that mask, could be anything.

Hard to see? Umm, actually no it isn't. Tali, like almost all adult women, is quite obviously a female, mask or no.

Btw at one point, Grunt mentions Shiagur, a female Krogan warlord.

She's dead but I totally want a female Krogan warlord squadmate in ME3, voiced by Claudia Black doing her Atheytya voice.

Nobody. I want to see a female turian with enormous spines or feathers or something.

You won't see female Salariens and Krogans and Bioware has made a good reason since they are rare.

ManShep: I'm sorry Tali, I didn't want you to suffer..

Tali: Me? No.. I mean, the worst of it is.. you are now pregnant.

ManShep:

Krogan females aren't rare, fertile Krogan females are rare.
