Did you 'cheat'?

But in any event, I feel that I have to live with the consequences of my actions in order to really benefit from taking part in a story where my choices effect the story itself. Reloading just because I now know how to save Mordin doesn't sit right with me and frankly I was very fond of that character and losing him will stick in my memory as part of a wonderful game experience. As far as I'm concerned, it is right up there with when Aerith was killed in Final Fantasy 7 but rather than it being predestined, I know it was a choice I made which caused it.
So what about you? Did you reload to fix a 'mistake' you made? Or did you simply accept that choices sometimes come with consequences you don't like? How often did you use the magical 'load' button to pull a Quantum Leap on your game?

Legion for the vents, Miranda leading both teams, Garrus escorted the crew back to the Normandy, Samara did the biotic part.
I brought Tali and Samara to the boss fight.

Most of the deaths in my game happened after I beat the boss and everyone was retreating back to the Normandy. As such I didn't bother reloading to a previous save to ensure that said person(s) would live because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of fighting the reaper again. Which is why Miranda is permanently dead on one playthrough, and Mordin is permanently dead on the other. (Though I'm only keeping the latter playthrough for ME just in case we get MORE LI options.)

Its not cheating, its fixing horrible design decisions made by BioWare. You are only cheating yourself if you let them die from faulty game development.
Mind shining some light upon these 'horrible design decisions' cheating scum?

General consensus is that Mordin is glitched during that part of the game, and that the only sure fire way to save his scaly ass is to send him back with the crew or gain his loyalty and take him with you to fight the final boss. I'm sure Bioware will fix it eventually...
No get your facts straight. Its public knowledge that Mordin is the first to die at the 'hold the line' segment of the mission if you don't have strong soilder characters defending such as Grunt and Zaeed. Loyalty of your entire crew is also a factor. This is not a glitch.

Having a character die by doing the logical thing is a bad design. [Moridin holding the line instead of fighting a reaper in hand to hand combat...]Skilled Seeker wrote...

Having a character die because they are ignoring a characters history is a bad design. [using Tali, who led a suicide mission on halstrum place already, or Zaheed, a blue suns founder, or Mordin who is an STG operative, be the second squad leader.]
having a rock kill a squad member based on their loyalty is a bad design. how are loyal squad members better at surviving rocks?

Everyone else was loyal, I didn't put her on any of the jobs, **** still died.
So I went back to the middle of the final level later, switched the mode to Casual, beat it again and she lived. got the achievement. Haaa. Yeah that was cheap of me.

You only need their loyalty and upgrades and you'll be fine.
