My main question is, should I get to Zevran as fast as possible to unlock Assassin? Or should I just take my time and get my assassin spec towards the end of the game?

I would also like to know what the suggested STR would be for a Rogue who wants to be able to use some of the better armors, not just light.

Also. I can't decide who to run in my party.

I know I want Alistar as my main tank, and Wynne as a healer.

I can't decide between Shale as another tank/support (w/ either Stone Heart or Stone Aura line respectively) or Morrigan.

One thing about Shale I don't like is that you don't get to upgrade his gear much. No jewelry etc.
The thing I don't like about Morrigan is that she comes prespecced with a wasted Shapeshifting specialization.

Thoughts?

My rogue was a human noble with str 22, dex was I think around 45 and I had 30 cunning. I got the felons jacket from wade and sported two daggers. I went duelest all the way and got every single "rogue" ability. I got expert dual wielder and only one dw ability because I used the duelist abilities, rogue abilities and the first ability in assassin. any extra points went in assassin for the passive abilities. My def was about 140, atk was over 110 and I was sporting like 20 or so armor. I don't have the character in front of me. I also used the crap out of the bombs.... I loved the bombs. And using bombs don't take you out of sneak. She was a monster....

I ran with Alistair, Zevran and either Wynne or Oghran. I didn't need the healer much until the endgame.

Backstab is your bread and butter if you are using blade. That is just what I have noticed maybe someone else can give you some other advice.

As far as unlocking assassin I would go to the Pearl in Denerim and get the duelist from Isabella first as that is more useful imo.

If you want to hold better swords (not daggers) and heavier gear your str should prolly be around 31 or 36.

Hope this helped.
