Umm, you haven't spent a lot of time together, but she merged her mind with yours, you saved her from a life of thralldom, and made it possible for her to renew her purpose and spend her time helping the Feros colony.  That makes you at least good acquaintances, doesn't it?  Especially considering that her green-ness is likely related to the Thorian, I'd say you've earned the right to ask her about it.

So no wonder that during another meeting seeing her green Shepard have full right to ask her if everything is OK whit her.

I hope that we will have chance to (maybe as DLC or in expansion) return on Feros or maybe help Shiala to find the cure.

I hate when people think "human decency" is some canard called "political correctness." It must be such a burden to be expected to treat other people with respect.

I disagree with Amethyst Deceiver in this one instance, given all the context, but I think that AD is broadly correct about the appropriateness of asking invasive, prying questions.

I can see both points here on the one hand just blurting out "Oh by the way why are you green?" could be considered a bit inpolite.



But on the other hand when I first saw her my first two thoughts in order were "Wasn't she purple before?" and then "Why is she green" but considering Shepard saved her life and they mind blended I don't see the problem with it.



Especially since she basically invites you to hook up with her after your done saving the galaxy...again. As to the other nosy aspects of Shepard's personality he does butt into those two Krogan's conversation about the fish in the Presidium lake after overhearing it, that's a bit nosy I think

Well, personally I agree that some of Shepard's conversation options are a little odd and personal. (Though if I saw a krogan shouting poetry heck yeah I'd ask what was going on). I also think the wrong example was used here. Shiala's evil clones were green, Shiala is now green. Not asking her why she suddenly is the same color as the evil clones that tried to kill Shepard would make 'em seem a little stupid.

But I also think that calling other people 'f****** dense' is rude and a juvenile way to approach a clearly logical argument.

toootally. kind of ironic huh?

strange how certain ways of wording can cause different reactions... hmm

and on that note, its not like "hey why are you green" and "are you ok? is there something wrong?" would totally mean different things or anything.

Remember the last time you seen a green Shiala she was a Thorian clone attacking you. After you saved the actual Shiala, she was blue ... then all of a sudden two years later she is back to green. What I find funny is that Shep says all other Asari are blue when there was a red one on Ilium also.

its worded that way almost exactly in the dialog wheel deliberately cause its pretty funny...

ugh nevermind its not as funny if you have to spoonfeed the explanation.

The worst offender was in ME1 though. When Shepard buts in on the couple trying to decide if they baby should have genetic therapy.  I was like "Uhh why am I bothering these people, I am an Alliance soldier not some medical professional."  So as a Renegade I just had to walk away and say I didn't care to which the lady responded with "Who asked you anyway?"

Well I think the whole green thing is getting this off track. Shepard does ask some very personal things of people he JUST met. Like the super racist Asari right after Shiala. Literally the 3rd thing you ask her, is how her family died. That's suuuuuper sensetive.
