bows before the greatness that is FFVI. now THATS how you incorporate a quest involving accumulation of a assload of characters into a compelling storyKnoll Argonar wrote...
FFVI is the best FF ever, along with, maybe, FFIV. But even those aren't the best JRPG out there. Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Time, Terranigma... Speacially Chrono Trigger. Far better than FFVII. And I have yet to play Chrono Cross, which is told to be even better (though I doupt it).
And you're not even comparing the same type of games! JRPG have almost nothing to do with WRPG.
Awwww how sweet, I never though I would find some PSX birth gamer in these forums.
and btw, "SNES was not an RPG platform" is LOL. i bow before your outlandish trolling skills.

I'm going to assume that the N7 missions are your reward for exploring, I mean think of howmany planets are in the game and there's what, 15 planets with missions on them?

Is it too much to ask for just one that doesn't have a big neon sign on it saying "STUFF HERE" though? The whole % explored thing killed it for me I think. If there wasn't a sign telling me where to go and what to do I'd likely only be irritated that I have to wait for a vehicle.
But then I'd probably focus on the fuel upgrade and how there are no hidden solar systems that are close to 50% fuel away from a fuel depot. It seemed kind of a waste all around to not even use the fuel mechanic to create a reason to explore...

is there even a thing you liek about me2?
im not saying everything youve complained about is bad, but you complained about everything.
hidden things? otherwise it isnt a rpg? serious?
thats total bull. im glad it didnt had hidden things, just saves me time from looking for it. same goes for bioware, add hidden things mean less time on something else. since they work with time scheduels.
i did wish they had a more blizzardesque way about, its done when its done.
but hidden things is serrious not on my list at all!
rpg's can be verry difrent and dont need things an other rpg (or al, accourding too you) have.
ME2 is a great game and i loved it, i liked it more then ME1. yes they can improve but the way you bring it sounds like a spoiled kid not getting his way.
stop the hate, bring valid points.

Here's the play by play for you since you never watched it:
1) The lack of skin in ME2 Love scenes was more shocking than the extra amount in the first game.
2) Shepard dies and comes back to life ... wtf?
3) The council either doesn't make any damn sense or is replaced by the alliance... which also makes no sense.
4) The vehicle sections are gone without reason and so is any amount of exploration the game could have contained
5) They should have just made the vehicle sections better
6) The exploring gave the first game a sense of "tangeble bigness" where ME2 feels like a bunch of shooting galleries
7) Planet scanning replaced exploration and it's ****ing terrible
8) The inventory system is gone but the new weapon system relies on the planet scanning ... trade crap for crap...
9) Coverbased shooting elements attempt to hold up gameplay by itself and fails.
10) It's much too easy and predictable
11) The writing is solid but the delivery sucks ass
12) Instead of roleplaying and choosing your path the player is focused on what choice gives them more douchebag or **** points because the Paragon Renegade system forces you to have max points later in the game
13) The writing doesn't make up for the ****** poor gameplay
14) If I wanted to be a space quantity surveyer I'd play Eve Online
Now tell me again what he got wrong?
1)meh, i agrea but it isnt a big point
2)so? i liked it. what ever floats your boat
3)agread, the council didnt change even aftehr saving there asses, the new council isnt all human.
4)soso, driving against 90degreas walls isnt fun, i do miss the feeling oit agve you. all the planets looked the same, just add more flora and fauna too the planets.
5)meh
6)agreed, the feeling of how big things are , is gone.
7) afther 2 hours playing i got sick of it. i hate scanning! use EDI or some other douce to do it for you. gawd i hate it.
8)agreed, scanning sucks, upgrading is almost a must and that means scanning! i didnt miss the inventory at all!
9)meh, il iked the gameplay
10)it is easy even on insanity it isnt really hard.
11)i loved it. difrent tatse difrent people
12)agread you cant play totally free, somewere its ok, youve bene a good guy for almost the whole game and all of a sudden youd want to shot a kid? doesnt make sence. i preferd the ME1 renegade/paragorn. ME2 shepard is just an ass in ME1 hes an prohuman, kiling aliens and helping humans.

Really though you started with telling me all I do is flame and troll. You shoulda left that out or saved it until the end because what you say first in english sets the tone for everything you say after it. I know it's confusing. English is a terrible language.
But I don't think I understood your question so I can't answer it without more information.

I'm not talkin about easter eggs here. I'm talking about hidden star clusters, moons behind large planets, hidden items in crates, secret rooms or hidden pasages to "secret" areas.
or did the thread titled 'Easter Eggs' actually manage to redefine the term to 'curious and amusing dialogue and scenic tidbits that make me want to post my giggles on the forum', in which case you're quite correct and we need to create a new term because the old one got hijacked by too many people with stunted vocabularies.
But, whatever. I agree. The lack of easter eggs makes ME a lesser game.
