Ah a bit of necro'd thread... or should I say Husk'd?



Anyways Sovereign was actually menancing the entire game both as a warship and as an evil sentient machine. It's for that reason alone that Sovereign is a better Reaper.

Harbinger is seriously just like the kids that trash talk on CoD, except a bit more profound and with a deeper voice. Seriously afterwhile it's like "Just shut up dude..." but no he's gotta ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL! Hopefully in ME3 we'll get to assume direct control of Harbinger and send him into a black hole.

Basically...

Sovereign=Megatron
Harbinger=Starscream

I can imagine Harbinger assuming control of a Collector and he says "Shepard, snap into a slim jim!"

I think it's clear Harbinger is superior in every way. He's the Admiral Hackett of Reapers. He orders the front line grunts like Sovereign to do the dirty work.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Sovereign was the "sour note" behind the Rachni Wars. That, along with his awesome dialogue, has him top for me.

Well, Sovereign sounded much cooler and had better dialogue. But in terms of power, Harbinger wins. If you read the codex, Harbinger was a kilometer larger than Sovereign (Harbinger 3 km, Sovereign 2 km).

If you noticed during the games, they are the only two reapers to be able to fire multiple beams at once. Considering that Harbinger is the oldest and the "leader" of the reaper fleet and Sovereign was the lone Reaper left behind to keep watch of the galaxy. It can be argued that they are the two strongest within the reaper fleet.

Logically, it would be safe to assume that the genetic material of the race would play a part in the strength of the reaper. I don't know what Sovereign was made of but I do know that the Leviathans formed the genetic basis for Harbinger. The Leviathans were the "apex" race. I'd assume that they were more powerful and genetically superior than any other meatbag race after them.

Sovereign wins dialogue and voice. Harbinger wins in being a troll. But ultimately, Harbinger wins in power and influence.
