It is speculated that the recruitment missions -- specifically for the console -- are partitioned into separate data discs, causing the game to become somewhat linear in mission selections.smecky-kitteh wrote...
I'm trying to trigger the mission so I can recruit tali to bring her on archangels recruitment mission
Therefore, completion of all four recruitment missions is necessary in order to advance to Horizon.

That's unfortunately true. I just wish they'd give us the option to decide wherever we want to go first, disc switching or not. I'd happily change discs every time I go on a recruitment mission, if it'd allow me to get my favorites right from the start. Especially since Tali has dialogue for all the missions I'll never be able to take her on. Such a pain.

While it may add to the replay value, many critics and some players may feel inconvenienced by the task of switching data discs more than once or twice.R34P3RR3D33M3R wrote...

Perhaps you should consider requesting a non-console related patch for this choice, listed in the in-game options after one completion of the game:Skilled Seeker wrote...
But why not allow this for the PC version? Thats what I don't understand. PC users should not be limited by a console's shortcomings. We don't need to change discs. I know we can unlock them by modding but it doesn't feel the same as recruiting them proper.
Mission Linearity: [ ] High [ ] Low
Adjusts the mission arrangement in the game. High requires you to follow a specific set of recruitment missions, low allows you to pursue almost any mission at the start of the game -- with consequences still included.
They could do the same for the Xbox. Giving us the *OPTION* to switch discs more often to get the squadmembers we desire surely couldn't hurt.
