Mass Effect and Dragon Age seem to have alot in common.
DAO:You choose where you cam from and become a Grey Warden.
ME:You choose where you came from and become a Specter.
Both are above the law in a way and are warriors of great prestiege.
DAO: Lohgain betrays you.
ME: Saren betrays you.
Both are heros to their people.
ME: Reapers come every 10th milenium or so and destroy everything.
DAO: Darkspawn come every 400 yearsand destroy everything.
The Reapers are obviously more extreame than the Darkspawn but the simularities are their.
That said, if you have any other simularities please post them below

Most of the characters are carbon based life forms in both games. Both games employ both vowels and consonants. Both game title begin with consonants. The similarities really are striking.

This kind of reduction of everything to its minimum common denominatori is always hilarious.

-sigh- If you actually listened to the game you would know that that's not true. The Blight just happened to happen 400 years after the last Blight. It's whenever the darkspawn find the Old Gods that a new Blight begins, not when a certain age comes around.
Second, the order thing, yeah, you could also say the same thing about Jedi. Or tons of other orders in history and literature.
And the betrayal thing, yeah, that tends to happen a lot. Master Li, in Jade Empire. Saul Karath in KotOR, Revan in KotOR, Darth Malak....

Vladimir Propp and the Bible both confirm it, there is nothing new under the sun, especially in heroic tales. It's all in how much fun you have getting there.
