When I'm entering the Elven Alienage and uproaching to Varel Baern (got the irregulars quest) the game crashes.
I'm running on windows 7.
Any ideas?

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7100)
It's my second playthrough and the game worked just fine earlier on, didn't have any issues in this location.

First playthrough. Only just got to the Alienage in Denerim during the Landsmeet quests.

I am having a similar problem. City elf origin. Everything is fine until I get near the big tree in the middle of the alienage and then CTD.

Although I hate bumping, I really feel that this is a nasty issue at the moment and I've found out that it also keeps me from entering Red Cliff Castle now, so I'm more or less stuck, waiting for a patch or a bug fix. So again. If anyone knows how to fix this, then it would save my weekend

Oh, cool. That means I'll have to download again the 15 gb's of the game via Steam in order to beat the Sloth demon? (game crashes during the combat).

Just wanted to let you know how it went. possible spoilers from the end part of the game ahead.
Denerim and Red Cliff works now. However, there's still a chance that the game will crash there. It's just not as often as it used to be.
SPOILER!
When I return to Denerim for the final part of the game, when the Archdemon has showed itself, the game seems to have a big chance of crashing after defending the gates, as the party that you left behind. I managed to get past it on my third try though.
