I've heard that overclocking can be the source of the problem of this bug (something about the game not predicting the increased performance, although why one would need to compensate for such things is beyond me). Normally, this wouldn't be a problem for me, but on this laptop this is a special kind of problem. You see, based on the preformance/power settings my computer is on (eg, power saver, high preformance) and the preformance my computer thinks it needs for whatever it is running, my processor will automatically increase its clock speed up from 1.7 (overclocking actually just increases the maximum clock speed). Would this make the issue unfixable on my laptop?
