I'd like that idea. We would even get extra content which infact is already implemented but never appears on a regular playthrough. (e.x. Tali's comments on missions before we are able to recruit her)

i would like that yeah , also it would be nice if we could get Legion some place else than on the IFF mission ,i find it sad that he is so late in game and you get to use him only in so few missions well that is if you want to save your crew and keeping few N7 missions after you completed the game to have him with you is sad

It won't happen fellers. A patch like that sounds simple enough to make but in reality would require a high investment of resources. I'm sure BioWare would rather invest said resources into bug patching, DLC, and me3. Sorry to disappoint.

Well one can dream dammit! But seriously the content is already there. Just give us all the recruitment quests from the get go.

Addendum: Gib's Save File Editor is in its 25th revision and but does not yet allow the modification of mission and assignment states. Once this is included, the ability to fully recruit any squadmate after first boarding the Normandy will be available for the PC.

I think this would be a great idea, I always found it a bit lame that legion was recruited so late, and I wouldnt mind having to disc swap more often as a result.

Oh and you made me laugh Edi =)

I'd go through over 9000 disc-switches to get the option to recruit Tali right from the start.

If they have the Tali and Legion dialogues already in there, it'd be nice if we got to see them outside of Youtube or a savegame editor.

The thing is if you have the PC, you can do that. If they patch it for the console it will just screw up the disc system.

This is not necessarily the case. Modification of PC data only includes the character in the mission. It does not enable players to recruit them and have them appear in the Normandy.

Actually that's not entirely accurate. I did the coalesced modification, and they do appear on the Normandy. Not initially, but after taking them on a mission they permanently appeared on the Normandy, and their loyalty missions appeared.

Bump because I really hope Bioware considers this.

I really would like this... There is a lot of dialog that console gamers totally miss out on. As for a PC gamer like me... it'd just be more convenient. Which I approve of...

Thank you EDI, by the way, how's that whole platonic thing with Joker working out?

I'd love for this to happen, but it would require Microsoft to put out a copy of ME2 that stays on the HDD and only requires one disc for verification. That means tons of people who haven't upgraded from the old 20GB HDDs (like myself) or are running out of space aren't going to be able to get this unless Microsoft offers those new 250GB HDDs bundled with the data transfer cable for $80 to $100.

You can always disc swap kregano. And if you don't want to disc swap a lot then stick to the linear recruitment method but no need to drag others down with you ;)

no just your idiotic sense of mimicking EDI is laughable..this isn't even an RP forum...yet you seem to have nothing better to do then mimic an imaginary "thing"

your life must be great

Of course, your hating marks you as a stable and likable person.

Do you enable their recruitment mission or is it bypassed entirely? I am currently trying to search for a method in which any recruitment mission can be accessed once the Normandy is obtained.

I think I would like this alot. Maybe they should let you change Dossiers in NG+ instead of just making certain places available.

Too much of a change, I suspect, to simply 'put it in a patch'. Just use the coalesced editor and set all their IsSelectable thing to 'leading'.

The recruitment mission is bypassed unfortunately. It would be nice if it wasn't (though likely impossible in Legion's case because of that stupid IFF).

OP: How would the implementation of Legion go down? His recruitment is entirely linked with the Derelict Reaper/IFF mish.

Would he HAVE to be the final recruit-ee no matter what? :(

My goal is to be able to play the game as if were intended as a PC-only product. I would prefer to do the Reaper IFF mission first after Freedom's Progress. Will modifying the coalesced.ini file allow this?

Recent experimental editing has found that the Save Game Editor can function as a teleportation program. Shepard was able to fly directly to the Derelict Reaper after Freedom's Progress and activate Legion once the Reaper Core was destroyed.

In terms of an official patch, installation of the Reaper IFF would be delayed until all members are recruited or 10 missions are completed.

King Calian gives this idea the official badass seal of approval and suggests the option an option to "allow early recruitment" be given upon starting a new game if ME2 has already been beaten once.

Actually, I think that this is a fantastic idea. It would also put to use all that wonderful extra dialogue that is already in the game :)

I would hope that it may apply to further imports from ME1 games as well.
