I'm just pointing out a logical flaw with the plan, a way to deal with it, and a downside to that solution. And there's a lot of people who feel the same way about the HDD situation; some of them have taken to modding their HDDs and others are hoping Microsoft realizes how nonsensical it's system is and/or opens the market up to 3rd party HDDs.Skilled Seeker wrote...
You can always disc swap kregano. And if you don't want to disc swap a lot then stick to the linear recruitment method but no need to drag others down with you

To promote further understanding, I will add to Seeker's statement by saying that the game should not be held back purely due to technical limitations of a single console. While this may be the fault of the manufacturer, there are ways for developers to evade or work around these restrictions.kregano wrote...

Recent experimental editing has found that the Save Game Editor can function as a teleportation program. Shepard was able to fly directly to the Derelict Reaper after Freedom's Progress and activate Legion once the Reaper Core was destroyed.sergio71785 wrote...
The recruitment mission is bypassed unfortunately. It would be nice if it wasn't (though likely impossible in Legion's case because of that stupid IFF).
In terms of an official patch, installation of the Reaper IFF would be delayed until all members are recruited or 10 missions are completed.
We are in agreement.
Geth communicate at the speed of light, which organic hardware does not permit. Therefore, in order to obtain optimal understanding of resident organics aboard Normandy, time must be given to interface.

This is one of many advantages that this patch would facilitate.cipher_Cero wrote...

I agree that if you can do the IFF mission right after the tutorial mish and the crew kidnap is delayed untill you recruit a decent percentage of available chars it should work fine. All the dialogue and everything already seems to be in the game.

However, remember that for the Xbox360 version the reason to split up the recruitment missions was actually for a practical reason (disk space). I'm not sure they could do this for that version. But then again, who cares about those dirty console peasants?

A very reasonable request. I support it.

I agree they should allow that option on the PC version. It shouldn't be held back because of a disc space problem with a console version. Of course Mordin would have to be in the first wave and Tali in the second due to story reasons and mission structure, but still this would be a nice touch.

At present I'm playing the game with Legion as my first recruit ( ok its via the coalesed tweak) and I have his loyalty mission complete

It just seems like a lot of trouble to go through on BioWare's part to give fans a few scattered bits of dialogue, however. I am doubtful if it will ever happen, but I am hoping it does.

It improve the replayability and add a few dialogues (wich the game lack the most IMO)
The big winner would be Legion and it's a good thing since taking him on Tali's loyalty mission is really nice.

There are many who would very well appreciate this change. As said before, the mission sequence was changed late in development. The only obstacle that may arise is if the console version does not include the added dialogue.ATKT wrote...
I support this. I don't mind disc changing too much, and it would be really useful to have Thane and Miranda on Horizon to warp husks' armor off. Plus there's the little dialogue here and there.

It's annoying that the PC-version has been gimped to satisfy 360 users (damn peons).
They are just following the model of our edication system.
