My point was that if Wynne's son had magical ability, he would've gone to the Circle as a child. Not an adolescent like Anders did.
And I have no idea when he explains that to you. He never has in any of my mage origins.

It would kind of make sense. Maybe Wynne's statement that her son would probably be like Alistair is a secret admission that the boy's father was Maric... He is just too much like Alistair NOT to be Maric's son, but we'll see I suppose.

Alistair tracks down all his brothers and sisters and put them through the joining. They all lived and the darkspawn disappear forever , the problem is everyone else killed themselves due to bad jokes and infinte alistair-like laughing.
And this all thanks to Maric being such a man****.
(However, I personally would welcome his thousands of siblings. Alistair in every possible variant.

I agree Der Tunichtgut some of the varients would be alright but some of them would be really annoying. Imagine a female much like Alistair. Varientations can be good or bad. What if it turns out she eats by shoving things up her nose or cuts lethaly toxic farts?
I wouldnt mind if they were all slighty smarter and wittier than him though.

I believe it would be very entertaining. *haha* (And well, even cute to some degree.)
But I don't even think, Alistair would do this, at least not more than once in a while.
Why are so great many people assuming that Alistair is a ****? Not that I am accusing you of finding him especially dim-witted or so, Eli-da-Mage, but I can see a hint there at least.
I personally don't think that Alistair is dim-witted. Just because he makes jokes all the time, doesn't make him dumb. Well, hmm... honestly, in my opinion his jokes make him seem rather smart than dumb to me. Yes, really, the way he uses words gives me the impression that he is indeed intelligent, but partly wants people to belive that he's not. (And he's thousands of times smarter than Cailan I am sure. 8D) And him telling so many people (including the Warden) how dumb he is or can be even if it's in a joking manner, gives me the exact opposite impression of him. I don't know where I got it from any more, but it's similar to this: Only a sane person can say that they are insane. But hey, maybe it's just me. And being emotional, childish and somewhat impish doesn't make a person dumb in my opinion.
He can be really a very serious person as far as I have experienced, as well as he has a great knowledge of some things, insight and intelligent thought of his own. And I say this having experienced interactions with him and banters between him and always different group members with three different characters, all in different sorts of relationships with him, from love to friendship to ignorant or insulting and totally against Alistair's beliefs.
Oh, now I've given a lecture... on something off-topic Well, take it as something to think on if you like.

I think that it is possible that Anders might have been Wynnes apprentice. If so, perhaps he will mention her in some conversations? Or he might talk with Wynne herself when she makes an appearance?

It's so out of the blues, but since everyone is talking about Anders, I think I have some problem with the game, or maybe it's a plot of Bioware but... Anders has 100 approval with me, and between () is written 'Love'.
0_o And I don't have any mod except hairs and DLC. But of what we ALL heard, there is no romance in Awakening. Or maybe we 'cannot' act for romance, but characters can fall in love with our Grey Warden? I mean... I don't get it. I was like 'WTF' when I saw (Love) near Approval 100. It was a party in my head.
Does this mean Anders WILL become romanceable on some expansion or even in DA2? 0_0 God... I'm confused.

Well, since that was brought up...
Yes, I also got that high approval and (Love) with Anders, as well as with Justice too. Everyone else just is (Warm) or (Friendly) with me.
Maybe originally they had planned romances but took it out? Or some sort of crazy programming copy + paste that got mixed in with approval rating?

This is a possibility they could have taken Anders into another Circle of Magi in Thedas so Wynne won't try to take Anders if he was put in the Circle Tower in Fereldan.
