Shouldn't there be scarring in this game? I mean even ME had the option to pick out some scars in the creator so why not this one? I really want a wicken battle scar across my face or anywhere on me really LOL.
What do others think? Have BioWare said anything about NOT allowing scars?

Whats in the Character creator will be whats in the final game. IF they think allowing a DLC that would allow that option that is their call. But atm this is what the options are.

From the looks of some characters in the gameplay videos, I'm guessing that you will get scars as you progress through the game, and that you haven't seen much battle at the point where you start your origin story.

I have not seen any "scarring" that you mention and I have seen a lot of videos. I have seen lots of stains from blood and arrows sticking to you but no scarring. And No Devs have commented on scarring.

hhhmm well this is odd now cuz i have watched hardly any vids but i dont see why the devs would leave out scarring just because I mean ur getten hit my swords, sharp things if gone deep enough and sometimes even not will leave a scar.

Because adding scars requires more resources. Unless it is plot related I don't think it will be in like Fable 2 had it. Afterall the Blood is its own texture and stains you unless you go to camp., transition to new area.

That would be a neat addition.. I've always wanted a game that tattered the character as they progress. Batman sort of does it but it's still pre-made tattering that occurs.

The problem with that, as was stated above, is resources and power. It's not easy to code something like that. Pre-determed sure, but random based on damage and how you took the damage and where it shows up... ugh... it could turn into another "Along in the Dark" where wounds look like patches of skin stapled to the charater... just terrible.

While it would be neat.. I think the most they would have (if they have it at all) are story based scars.

If the scars were random, I think they have the potential to be too disfiguring. I remember when Fable II was going to implement this feature just through general combat and not death, before removing it due to a significant public and playtester consensus.

Oh man I sure hope not!

I still remember my husband dying so much on his female warrior, she looked like she fell into a crop harvester.

The only game I know which has a realistic scarring system is Fable. The first thing I did on my second playthrough was to sell as much stuff as possible and spend money on a chainmail helmet.

It's not that its realistic, its that if you die you get a scar which is determed based on open skin/and armor you are wearing. It's still quite possible to get a chest scar while wearing heavy armor.

If they do scaring of any type Id perfer it to be a'la mass effect and our choice if not second like Arkham otherwise leave it out. But thats my opinion
