On my first play threw I triggered the romance by giving her a golden andraste symbol in orzamar never doing he companion quest. in my current play threw she is not romantically inclined and I have done every thing. But I found some how I had a romance with Zhaven after a serious gross out I suspect it my have prevented the romance from trigering.

I messed up in my last game, really wanted to check out the romance with Leliana but couldn't. I had her approval at +100 but never talked to her in camp at all.

Reverted to an old save. Gave her 1 flower and talked to her a bunch and like 20 minutes later I scored



Honestly though, I'm not into her accent at all. Killed it for me, same with Morrigan.

I've managed to get myself completely stuck on the Leliana romance ><  and conversation in general.  All I have left is "I'd like you to leave," which only gets her to leave and, "I'd like to talk about something personal,"-->"nothing, nevermind."  I can get her approval to 75 and nothing changes =/ I can't even dump her.

I'm guessing she is un-romanceable now? That'll teach me to hard-save before 20hrs in.  Ugh.  Seriously though,  Morrigan practically hops in bed as long as you get the grimoires.  Why did they make Leliana so specific?

She didn't sleep with me until after Marjolane and at love rating, though we had kissed (I kissed her, iirc), though I also wasn't trying to get her in bed fast. Zevran was also "interested" or "care" (don't remember which) though I hadn't slept with him. It didn't seem to stop anything.



And yes, she did sing for me.

I tried romancing Leliana on my current run, but she wont have any of it, even with her approval almost maxed. Never got her side quest either. So I just said screw it...and jumped in the sack with Morrigan. (My tent was lonely). Since my PC cant be with either of the ladies at end game, I plan to take the death is sacrifice route this time. Anora is not my cup of tea. Alistair can have her if he wants.

I told Zev to get the hell away from me haha. He is creepy. I didn't initiate the whole Leliana 'scene' until just before endgame. Mass Effect style I guess. I got the scene after kissing her, letting Marjolaine go and she told me some story about the stars. I also gave her all her plot gifts and she did sing.

Heck maybe I'm just lucky. This Dwarf playthrough is going to be... interesting.

first of all excuse my english, Im spanish and I have not the time I would like to have to improve it ;-)

I had the "Leliana's Romance Bug" and I was desperate. I always had her approval with +70 (or more) and the dialogue was always the same even after her quest. I've found the solution to this problem changing the approval of the rest of characters in my group.

I solved that using cheats, it changes the approval of whoever you want in your party. My intention was only to repair the bug. I don't know what could happen if you change the approval so often, your game experience may change and I'm not sure if it would be for good.

Enable Cheat Console
Start the game with the -enabledeveloperconsole command-line parameter.
Example: "C:\\Games\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole
Then, while playing press ` (tilde) to open the console. You won't actually see it, but the console is running. Type any of the following cheat codes for the corresponding effect.

Code:                                               Result:
runscript zz_addapproval # ##    Add Approval (# = Member, ## = Amount)

Example:
runscript zz_addapproval Morrigan 50 (you need to control Morrigan)
   
Okay. Once you open the console you won't see anything, what I do is use the "W" toggle to guide myself (if I press "W" and the char doesn't moves means I've console ON)

You have to do this in a neutral zone where you can change group members easily (NOT the camp). I use Morrigan to activate Leliana's dialogue. Then put Morrigan in your group and REMOVE Leliana from the group (Watch out! Don't KICK HER, just send her to the camp) and return to the game. This cheat works only selecting the char that you want to add approval. Then select Morrigan and use the cheat. Add improve until 100, then talk to her. You will have romance dialogue ON with Morrigan. Kiss her or do whatever you want. Ok, now we have possitive approval with both Morrigan and Leliana. Return to the Group menu and remove Morrigan and select Leliana (DON'T KICK ANYONE).

And it should be done! Leliana will tell you she's jealous and she tells you you're playing with the heart of both. From here you can choose, stay with both or with Leliana only. I chose stay only with Leliana. Then I had to leave Morrigan, you can do this talking with her. Morrigan's approval will go to neutral again. So she will be Neutral with us. Well, this is up to you. After you leave Morrigan talking with her when you speak with Leliana she will talk you sweetly, like "Oooh how sweet you are". The romance dialogue that before was closed now is open and working 100%.

This is like I've repair this, I've seen lots of solutions to repair this bug but when you haven't done Leliana's quest, and this works when you have done it.

Like I said this cheat ONLY repaired this bug for me, cause I was neutral with Morrigan before doing this. I DO NOT RECOMEND use the cheats through the game

Yep, on both playthroughs so far. Always after doing the Brecelian Forest.

The "exact" responses don't matter, the keys are asking her if she's met anyone as special as she was and hoping if you can one day be as special.

That doesn't seem to be crucial, either -- i picked instead the line about being sorry it ended badly for her and then the options other than the one you cite, and it still ended with declaration of love out of blue. It had possibly to do with approval rating -- it's 80-odd at that point.

Well, either that or it was Allistair's clumsy attempts to get some dating tips that made her determined to stake the ground first, so to speak...

Yes, you can kiss her and have her consider you her partner before doing her quest. Just make sure you don't tell her anything you wouldn't say to a woman you have an interest in. Especially comments regarding friendship are mostly ill-advised. Also, talk to her often, especially while giving her heaps of gifts. Visit your camp every once in a while to see if one of her camp triggers fires. Watch the approval rating, if it changes to friendly or something similar that indicates friendship, she's no longer interested...

I've never had any problems with any of the romances or their triggers. It's pretty straightforward. If only real life had 5 conversation options to choose from.

I had a question about the ending if you romanced Leliana. The end text I got implied that Leliana left my character after a while? O_o Does that not happen if she's maxed 100? I had her around 98 or so (she had fallen from 100 a long time post-sex since I did something not completely moral).

From discussions in other threads, it seems that you get the 'at least for a time' Leliana ending in all of the endings if Leliana is your romance interest unless you choose the 'the grey wardens need me' option at the post coronation.

ok so how do u get aproval..i only did the cricle of magi quest and true i missed two oportunities in lothering..and i am only at 43 aproval...and 2 gifts given i think...i only have the tell stories options.More annoying is that no matter wich option i chose at teh prvious conversations i only had one time a +6 the rest were +2 or 1.So i have no idea what to do next..i'll keep drag her with me in missions to get aproval this way...

"At least for a time" sounds like an open ending so that they're not making any promises with sequels/expansions.

I got her to sing but my favorite part was that one of the things I talked to leliana about during the romance came to fruition at the end of the game.  That little bit of dialogue influenced my major decisions throughout the adventure.  In the end I was extremely satisfied with the rpg experience.  It fit what my character's personality was over the course of the game.


It was cool to get the girl at the very end.
